Cancelling Contract Question

When I worked on the phones for Orange and we quoted an ETC, I used to advise that it was cheaper than if the contract was left to run because they discount an element for the VAT on a service that you won't be using. There was no 'legality' to this - we were just to explain it that way.
To OP, there won't be any issue with cancelling, and they won't try too hard to keep you as you're buying out early. Just give them a call.0
