So I weighed in this morning and I've lost 5.5lbs!!!!

This is amazing as I haven't been hungry once, no cravings, and I've even had a couple of rather large pieces of birthday cake:T

I've listened to the CD three times over the week, at bed time and an added bonus is that I've not slept so well for years!

If you've come to this thread because you're thinking of giving it a try I have to say go for it, you have nothing to lose but that extra weight.
  • Selling for £6.49 on Sainsburys entertainment website.

How is everyone who started in January getting on.

Decent Guy is it still working?
  • I'm interested too. Anyone got anything to report.
  • Ok I'll give a little bit of feedback. I used to eat nearly a full loaf of bread(sliced 800gms) in a couple of days and now a loaf has lasted more than a week and I've thrown out the last few slices so obviously doing something for me.:)
  • hi newbie here but just wanted to post that I have just begun looking at the paul mckenna principles and trying to incorporate them into my life, and i have also been reading beyond chocolate and find their outlook v interesting too. i have now started a facebook page where i aim to look at the principles and how i can include them in my food life and better my relationship with all things food related! :):)

Take a look if u have time, i just wanted somewhere that i and other people can talk about the principles (similar to here) but also to see if i can get some positive results as i have searched high and low all over the internet and i cant say there is that much feedback on results...

    :) good luck everyone!xx

the facebook group is: 'the pudding princess' all one word :)
  • As a weight loss hypnotherapist it is really interesting to read this thread. There is a simple reason why people are experiencing mixed results.

    1) A certain percentage of the population is highly suggestible. If they hear the audio and they want to lose weight it will be simple and easy for them to do.

    2) Others will listen to the audio and really follow the advice written in his book which is really sensible. Again if they follow his instructions to the letter then they will have success.

    3) The problem comes with the people who are not suggestible, half follow the advice or most importantly have a deeper emotional reason for their overeating.

Generally suggestion hypnosis as given in the audios can be highly successful but ask yourself this. If you have been overeating all your life, if you have suffered from depression, anxiety, fears, phobias, abuse, low confidence or self esteem will a simple book and audio solve all your problems? Of course not and this is where we hypnotherapists are not Harry Potter. Our job is to work with our clients over a number of sessions to discover the root cause of their overeating and help them change their mindset when we discover what that is.

This form of therapeutic work can be very complex and takes time and sadly an audio giving you the same message again and again will not do the job if there is a deeper reason for your problem. Don't think that just because the audio failed hypnosis doesn't work for you. Instead find a hypnotherapist with advanced skills in regression, parts therapy, CBT and NLP and be prepared to work with them for four to eight sessions.
  • I tried it last year, it didn't work for me. I also have a friend who went to see a Hypnotherapist and she had several sessions over the weeks - it didn't work for her neither!
