  • Hi,

May I just ask do you listen to the operation cd every day?? I am on my second week but have only listened to it once.
    thanks
  • Hi Angelabbie -

I've also listened to it once and in my second week.. I intend to have a top up tomorrow, simply because I really want this to carry on working, and so I feel the more reinforcement the better!
  • hi Decent Guy, I think I will have a listen tonight as I have needed more food today but I have been genuinely hungry. I read on the internet that the sun readers who tried it with Paul listened to it every day for five days so I was just a tad confused. Good luck this week.
  • Good luck to you too!! Stay in touch.

I started it yesterday and boy it does let you know when you have eaten to much. I tried to eat my soup and sandwich at lunchtime and didn't finish it all but instantly new I had still eaten to much I felt really sick like I had overeaten. For tea I cut down my portion but didn't finish it all I was full half way through but I did have a dry cracker just before bedtime as I did find myself hungry

I had my normal muesli this morning and couldn't finish it. So less of that tomorrow. I have just had my sandwich for lunch I have eaten it all but feel really bloated and sickly. So that will need to be cut to one slice tomorrow.

I think it will be trial and error for the first week getting portions correct as I don't want to snack in between meals. I just hope it works.

I intend to do the cd every week just as a top up. He does say to use it freely.
  • Hi nico26. Well I have def not felt that full feeling to the extent it made me feel uncomfortable or sick. It does not sound as if you are eating very much at all either so it sounds as if it is def working lol.
Good luck with it. I listened to the CD again last night so I will see how I feel today.
  • Hi new hypnotic friends!!

I started to listen to the trance CD again last night, but got interrupted, so rather than start again thought I'd wait until later today. I had a single boiled egg (no toast) this morning and felt full almost immediately, whereas previously I could have easily managed 2 eggs and 2 slices of toast without any problem. I have tried eating with the family in the evening and I immediately started eating too quickly again, but as McKenna says, you really need to be alone until you've learned the new eating habits. It definitely seems to me that eating slowly and consciously is the key to noticing 'satiety' (fullness) as in his earlier book, but what is so clever about the hypnotic band is that it gives you a physical restraint too, especially given that our conscious minds know only too well that we haven't really had a gastric band fitted.

I'll report back when I've started using it too.
I have around 34-42lbs to lose for my ideal shape (32 waist at a squeeze, 34 would do, currently 38) and want to be around 12st7lbs ideally.

I've used McKennas earlier book and CD and lost a lot of weight previously but I've had trouble sticking to it.

However I've just bought yet another decent bicycle and also have removed all the other obstacles I used for not exercising (I have a concept 2 rower, a tacx VR cycle trainer and a new bike rack on my car roof so no more excuses not to do something whatever the weather and wherever I am!)

I'll watch the DVD tonight and used the CD for the 1st time too.
Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.

  • Hi Timbo58

I'm impressed with your exercising plans - I've always had a tendency to steer clear of conventional 'keep fit'. However, my Springer spaniel gets me out of the house for 30mins or so a day! I think part of the success of this 'hypnotic approach' is in the fact that we want it to work. I don't meant to imply that's all there is to it, but I do think that if you've bought the book, feel motivated to lose weight, listened to the CD etc then you're unlikely to sit down with a stuffed-crust pizza in front of you for a while. Many methods, I'm sure we all agree, work in the short term and shift the weight - so surely the issue here is can we really change our eating habits so that we stay slender forever, let's hope so!!

DG I laughed out loud genuinely at that!
I wouldn't even think of using conventional keep fit or the gym: what crap.
Dogs are great exercise: they don't mix with cycling though!
Try a stepper 1st: good initial warm up exercise, boring though!
Luckily I live on my own (although I am VERY careful not to ever upset neighbours with noise) so in theory I can do what I like exercise wise.

To be fair it only needs 20 minutes walking a day extra, your dog would be chuffed to bits to get an extra walk, then build from there.
It'a more of a matter of getting into a habit: you do something a few times thats enjoyable and it becomes a new habit -reinforce it and it's there for life should you want it to be.
If I need motivation I only need to see Paul Mc K or Bradley Wiggins or any Tour de France and I'm all fired up!
