Reading through someone else's diary inspired me to take a quick look at my SO and DD's.

-2 old DD's cancelled as no longer used
-SO for gym membership cancelled as new work hours mean I rarely make it there. Work out cheaper to PAYG if I only make it once a week (and have averaged less than this since Jan). Did call gym and of course they asked that I confirm in writing so letter written too and wander to post box in a bit. Saving £27.50 per month
-SO DD's old football club cancelled. £10 saving.
-Adjusted budget as water bill is down £3 a month

That was worth the 5 minute check!

Now must round up kids and get us all dressed. Have been having a rather lazy morning.

    Hello MummyEm,

Keep up the good work, it sounds like you are incredibly focussed and, like you say, it is quite amazing seeing all those small OPs add up. I will subscribe and follow you x

    Thanks.

Your diary is actually one of the ones I read through this morning so I'll be following our journey too! I love your plan to be MF in 5. I think that shows so much dedication- i can really only dream of that kind of focus!

Realised that I haven't withdrawn P@yp@l money for couple of months.

    -£183.52 withdrawn to savings account
    -£co money withdrawn too £6.49

    Total £190.01 added to savings.

As I mentioned before, we have a spendy month in April paying for work on drive and front garden. Also looking at booking some flights to visit family abroad in August. Once all this is paid for, all remaining savings in this account will go towards next family loan repayment.

Was up super early this morning with DS so started the day well (2 loads of washing and ironing done by 8.30am) but then had breakfast and got distracted on the forum here so none of us are dressed yet :o

-ordered summer uniform needed for kids. Got these as cheaply as poss and check through exactly what they had first to keep costs down. £40 spent but have ordered shorts in two sizes for DS so will either return what isn't needed or keep for following year if they are too big.

No much planned for today. A bit more painting in the house. DH and I are off out this evening for meal with friends. Will try to keep costs down tho...

Thank you. Ultimately, we really want to be MF so that when both of our children are at school we have the financial freedom to start thinking about our future pension pots and how we will fund our lives when we are older. Our children are small now (2.5 and 1) so they cost us so little, I am sure when the demands for expensive gadgets etc kick in as they get older they will start to cost a lot more! But I find it so easy to create simple, free fun with my two that it seems daft not to make the most of any spare money now to chuck at the mortgage so our little family always have our home. xx

PS I am still in my PJs too x

ATB- Yes I think the demands increase financially as kids get older so definitely wise to get the mortgage paid whilst they are younger.

A few other accomplishments for today

    -Completed a couple of 1poll surveys + 50p
-Paypal money has hit account so transferred to savings
-realised that I miscalculated the mortgage OP (I like to round it down with my extra monthly OP as can't be doing with pennies on the end!). I checked that OP's had gone through but saw balance was £261000.02 Aaagh! Obviously HAD to OP the 2p but then sort of 'invented' myself a temporary rule that I couldn't OP less that £50 so OP sent of £50.02

    I think I am weird!

    Happy Easter to everyone.

Yesterday was very cheap day as had few too many drinks Friday so bit of a sore head yesterday. Not quite a NSD as DH popped to the shops for a couple of bit and took the kids which always results in extra being spent but I was in no state to complain.
DH also carried on with painting in the house.

    I did manage to
    -check freepostcodelottery
    -few 1poll surveys
-found 5p whilst tidying up so added to pennies pot

    This morning
    -checked freepopstcodelottery
-checked 1poll but no new surveys. £9.65 until payout now so must keep checking in their
-washing out to dry (not in tumbler)

Having problems logging in the energy supplier website to update meter readings. They changed my account number as they were updating their systems and now it won't work. Did send message a few days ago but haven't heard back yet. If I don't hear by Tuesday I will call them as I'd like to see were we are with our usage.

Off to see family today for Easter so should be a cheapish day. Taking some chocs and drinks with us (all bought already) and car is fueled and ready to go! Think I'll just have a catch up on some diaries for a few minutes then get kids ready to go.

A NSD yesterday (DH did have to get fuel but that's budgeted for in his own account so I'm not counting that).

A lovely day spent with family. DS has me up early but we are slow to get started this morning as tired out.

Plan for today is 20 mins on here whilst I have a cuppa then DH will carry on painting this morning whilst I get a few washing loads done (first already on) as weather is lovely. Need to whip through the house to tidy up and run the hoover around. House has gotten particularly messy in the last few days as we've been busy socialising and DH has been painting so lots of furniture and bits need rehoming. Then this afternoon will be spendy as kids need new sports trainers and some other bits to heading to the shops then meeting more family for a walk and play at large old house and grounds type park.

-freepostcode lottery checked (whoops too early must remember later)
    -1poll checked (nothing)
    - item sold on eb@y. One other has bid on. Lots of others have watchers for hoping for some last minute bids...

    To do
-package up parcel for eb@y. Must get this to PO tomorrow as won't be able to over the rest of the week due to work.
    -tidy house
    -hoover house
    -lots of washing dried outside
    -organise something for dinner
    -mealplan for the next week
-online grocery shop for delivery/collection tomorrow
-have an order for collection from Mr T for school uniform which needs collecting. Will do that tomorrow or Weds though as in completely opposite direction to where we are heading today so would not be time or fuel efficient!

Have managed two NSDs now. Really looking forward to tomorrow evening as kids and I are very tired and one more day of work/clubs to get through before the weekend. Been very good checking 1poll and free lotto etc.

-4 items sold on eb@y today. Should be around £35 after fees.
    -unsold items delisted
-cleared out kids playhouse, wardrobes and few bits from playroom so have plenty more to list!
-seriously considering a BIG change to our lifestyle as not enjoying work at all...
-two more loads of washing done and dried in the sunshine
