Finally go through to C0-0p energy to try to sort out issue with logging in to account. Having had no response for over a week to my online help submission, I now have access back in to my account :j

Have finally submitted up to date meter readings but cannot access any old bills or see energy usage info though which is just irritating. Did a quick energy club check to see if I was on the right tariff: could be saving almost £300 p/y elsewhere so forms to switch have been completed ;)

Tidying and clearing out today has been very fruitful.

-B00ts giftcard found which needs using up think it has £5-£10 on it
-Mr T giftcard with I think £20 credit
    -Debenh@ms giftcard with £5 on
-approx £3 change found and put in change bag for banking to savings
    -ovens cleaned
    -lots of papers to recycling/shredded
-swept up the drive and patio so got some sun and fresh air
-kids playing with a 'new' toy which DD was given about 3 birthdays ago but has only just made it's way out of the box! Think perhaps they get too much?!! (not from us I hasten to add as we tend to be quite frugal in the gift department

Just need to get the last load of washing in now and get the kids their tea. Off out to a friend's this evening for well deserved glass of wine

Thanks ATB I certainly did enjoy a few glasses. Bit of a sore head today and am especially tired as DD was up in the night for second night running.

Today I've been mostly focused on tidying up the study. It had piles of paperwork covering almost every surface! Looking much better now but still lots to do despite the hours I've spent in there. Still on my decluttering mission so today have

    -recycled Easter cards
    -old vouchers recycled
    -post dealt with and shredded/filed
-file of old work papers shredded
-some packaging put in eb@y stash
-3 eb@y listings put up (each bundles so 23 items in total!)
-piles of shredding done (still some to do)
    -piles of filing done
    -half a recycling box filled
-realised that our CT is £12.17 lower that last year so have OP'd £15.00 to mortgage

In other news, ironing pile is even larger now
-two more washing loads done and dried outside

Have had a really good look at our pension provision whilst dealing with all the paperwork today. I think we currently are quite short of where we would like to be in our retirement. Going to have to look at our options here. Also have several pensions between DH and I (five!) so need to get a better understanding as to pros and cons of transferring DH's old ones into his current one. Looking at my work records, I may not be eligible to receive a state pension. I will request up to date records from HMRC to see how many years I am short and go from there. Have a bit of a finances to do list as a result of today

    -review DH pension
    -review my pension
    -increase life ins provision
    -review private health care
-move old ISAs to better rates
-investigate transferring kids CTF to new kids ISAs
-open new savings accounts for kids as could be earning better interest
-open new deposit savings accounts for kids to have access to themselves so they can start learning about banking (they are already good at saving cash but they haven't yet started dealing with banks!)

I think that should be enough to be getting on with for now ;)

Wow, that's a lot achieved with a sore head! :) how old are your children? It is very tough operating on a broken night of sleep, I hope you have a better night tonight. And being up with them in the night when you've had a few Vinos is a mild form of torture... X

I find it easier to keep ploughing through when I'm tired. I think it's because I feel better if I get something productive done otherwise I feel it's a wasted day. My two are 5 and 7. We seem to just be going through a bad patch of illness over the last month or so. I find that once they are hit by one virus, they seem to pick up everything I guess as their immunity has been hit and reserves are low.

Completely agree, nothing worse then being up in the night after a wine incorporated relaxing evening!

Another bad night with DD and think DS is coming down with it too. I am shattered.

Was back in the study tidying up this morning before 7am, but it is now fully clean and tidy :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    -more paper to recycling
-lots more shredded (still a little to do but shredder needs a rest)
-few bits and pieces to charity shop bag
    -few bits binned
-more added to eb@y pile (need to get listing as this is a BIG pile now)
-accounts fully up to date for charity committee that I am involved with
-lots of stuff boxed up ready for DH to take up to the loft
-3 items ready to hand back to neighbour
-2 large items ready to take to mum's later in the week
-£1.22 change found and put in savings pot

Now off to crash on sofa with a coffee and get some food ordered for the week. I have two vouchers in email to use up so mustn't forget to use these.

    Still to do

    [STRIKE]-mealplan[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-online shop[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-complete weekly planner so I know what's going on![/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-get some ironing done :o:o:o:o:o[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-clean out freezer[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]-cook roast[/STRIKE]

Off to make that coffee extra strong
