If you have to ask, you're probably not to be honest.
They are a huge lifelong commitment, and if you start off down that road not sure, IMO it would be a long hard road to travel.0 -

Preferably before the midwife is telling you to push.... :rotfl:0 -
You're never particularly ready for a child. It's all about wanting one. If you don't know whether you want one or not, you probably don't."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Your not ready.
You just 'want' one and are ready to put your life aside for a new chapter.

It also depends what you consider 'ready'. Wanting one is half of that 'readyness' but whether your life as it stands would accept a child per se, is the other half. I really WANT a child, however (in my eyes)it wouldn't be fair to bring one into the world when im not financially secure enough to do so.0

I don’t think anyone is ever really ready for a child J they “want” one, but it’s always a shock when the little one arrives and you learn new things, no matter how many children you have
If you want one, then I would however check firstly – That your OH wants one too! Then check your circumstances to make sure you can support the child (Emotionally and financially!) then erm.... start baby making lol0 -
Like the others said, when you want one badly enough and are ready to sacrifice enormous amounts for the rest of your life.
They take from you, from the moment they start leaching nutrients from your body, to your time, energy, money, and room in your life. You spend your time looking after this very dependent critter, and then wrap your head around the fact that everything you teach it is to become independent of you and to eventually live its own life, leaving you behind.
They hold a mirror up to your worst faults, especially the unacknowledged ones you never even knew about.
When it works out, it's the most fulfilling and steadfast bond there is. When it doesn't, you've just given up huge amounts for a negative return and the general condemnation of society.0 -
When youre not on an internet forum asking other people.0

Imagine how you'd feel if you were pregnant now.
If it's anything other than joy, you're not ready.
