Zero .... I wore a skirt from my wardrobe that was about 5 years old (and top etc.), I went bare feet and wore a flower out of bouquet someone had given me in a button hole .... 10 years ago and still happily married.

Mine was £299 and nearly didn't have one.

After spending 18 months of looking, not having any money and "attempting" to lose weight, I went into the shop on the Monday afternoon. I was getting married that Friday.

Nosing around (as I had done many times before) the assistant asked if she could help. I promptly burst into tears, told her I was getting married that Friday and (like Pretty Woman style) pulled notes out of my handbag saying I needed the perfect dress today for £300!

They were excellent! Cup of tea and a calm down later, they had this perfect dress, in my size and tall length that I actually liked, for £700. As it was one that someone who no longer needed it and they were re-selling for her they let me take it for £299. Miracle and bargain, rolled into one!

Nope ... it was the local register officer in November!! I did have shoes on to get into the place, but I took them off before we began as they were killing my feet .... I was 9 months pregnant at the time
