the big v-shaped bead filled pillows are wonderful. you can use then in bed before the baby arrives, use then to support baby when breastfeeding, and later use them to help prop an almost sitting baby up.

i've always seen loads for sale at NCT sales, and they sell very fast. Usually cost no more than £5 there, rather than £25+ new (and the covers are washable)

Dunelm for a fourth - I have one of their V-shaped pillows, and it's ideal. They also do covers in a wide range of colours and their stuff's all very reasonable and good service.

I used to tukc a duvet around my tummy. My tummy was large and heavy as i had twins. i found this very comfy as you can make it thicker/ thinner where needed and didnt cost a penny! (still do it now to stop the tuggy flabby skin!)

i used to lay on my side with one under my bump and the other between my legs to stop me from rolling onto my belly :p

I had an oversized pillow made by my MIL. I found I couldn't sleep comfortably without it.

When dd was expecting , we bought her a body pillow from dunelm mill, it must have been comfy , because when her dh was away, she would cart the pillow to our house when she slept here.

I have a body pillow when I was preggers with both of my kids.

It was a god send, took all the weight off my bump and joints.

My pregnancy pillow is currently out playing snooker but will be home shortly! YEP I used hubby - why should I suffer alone? I let him take the strain!

I have used (yes I am female its hubbys id), a normal foam pillow for each of my 3 pregnancies, hubby did not like it when I rolled over as me, bump, pillow etc make a fuss turning over - but hey , I was pregnant

I also used the quilt in other bits

for the few weeks that you need it (and I know it feels like a long time), I would not waste money on a special pillow, as there are plenty of other things at that time that take your money

its also strange after the baby weaning yourself off the pillow (i used mine under bump between knees fashion)
