Hi,
I am 23 weeks pregnant and find it very difficult to sleep at night.
Has anyone used a pregnancy body pillow. I searched for one and found it quite expensive in mothercare and john lewis.
Are they effective? Is it money worth spending? if so any other shops that sell similar for cheaper price.
Please let me know.
Thanks.

Hiya, I've never used one, but one of my friends who is also pregnant tried one - she said it was quite comfy, but the comfiest thing she has found is to have a single duvet next to her on the bed, and to sort of tuck bits of it everywhere you need support (ie, under your bump, between your knees etc) - it might be worth a try before you spend money on a proper pillow, especially if you already have a spare duvet kicking around somewhere."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

I used the triangle shaped belly support and it was great for me, I have very big babies and my tummy was quite big, they were 9.00 from mothercare or you could try ebay.
Good Luck0 -

I used a normal pillow for each of my three pregnancies and it worked just fine - even though I had SPD each time.
Maybe worth a go before you fork out a fortune?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
I used a single duvet. It runs the length of my body, I could make bits thicker or thinner when I wanted it to and there was usually enough on the end so I could prop my feet up too.
Bought a single Summer duvet from Wilkinsons for the job - £3.0 -
I second the Dunelm Mill ones. I've had one of the 4ft ones since 16 weeks and they have made sleeping so much more comfortable. Although be warned I've got up to go to the loo in the middle of the night and come back to bed to find DH snuggled up to it and I've to fight with him to get it back.0
