Fraudulent activity on vanquis

  • If it is fraud then they should 'freeze' the transaction and you should not have to pay it or interest accrue on it.
In this case pay the balance minus the disputed item - any interest on next month's statement ask them to wipe it.

As I said above they said the interest will be refunded. My question was will the next transactions after the statement still have an interest free period. That is my confusion.
  • Since the transaction is fraudulent, any interest or charges that are applied due to the transaction would be refunded upon resolution including interest applied the following month. ie You would not be out of pocket due to interest/charges relating to the fraudulent transaction.

Thanks.I think vanquis have confused me somewhat. Thanks all for advice
  • My last post about interest/charges would obviously only apply if Vanquis agree that the transaction was fraudulent and that you were not liable due to negligence or failure to correctly follow t&cs (as per my earlier post)

Sounds like they refund after they have got passed the timescales for the company claiming the moeny back.
Ratehr than refunding up front (better customer service) and resolving it afterwards.

Me too, I found Moneysavingespert site by Googling Tech Giants Walsall Ltd.

I immediately called my bank and they have debited the account to which the money went and say they will credit my card.

I live in France but as there are now three reports of this company doing this is there nothing we can do or no-one to whom we can report it. The bank tell me that there is nothing they can do but this is obviously a serial fraud rather than a one off.
