:bdaycake: Happy birthday Miffy x
Hester - congrats on the the new arrival
OMG it has snowed so much here today. Woke up 7.30am no snow, nothimg coming down, got to work 8.30am and it was just coming down but thought it won't stick as it's wet, by 9am everything was covered! I had to cancel my course , half my work kids couldn't get in as buses weren't running. In a way it was a blessing in diguise as I caught up on so much admin and bits, but it's only their 2nd day so not great! It has snowed non stop here all day, boss sent us home at 3.30pm, luckily the roads were all clear apart from my estate which was slushy. Hope it goes by tomorrow!
I had planned on doing my food shop tonight but won't now, had planned on doing yesterday but was too tired from hospital, so dinner will be something random as I've run out of cheese, eggs and pots and as a veggie they are my staples!! :rotfl:
OS wise - HM celery soup taken for lunch, dishes washed, recycling sorted,
Have a good evening all

Hi all
Been cold and wet here, but at least most of the white stuff has gone:D
Been good food wise, had a clear the fridge night last night, made indian style special fried rice, using up sad looking onions, sad mushrooms, a bit of LO chicken and gammon chopped small and a few frozen prawn sat in the freezer, mixed in some pre- cooke rice and a couple of tablespoons of mild curry paste (AF 3 for 99p). Added a manky onion to food processer with some spices and some 99p l&dl minced beef, hey presto kofte kebabs - looked like little poo,s once cooked, but tasted lush:T
Lazy tonight l&dl 99p for 2 chicken kievs and chips;)
Hope your all well, back on 10 hr days, so havn,t caught up yet.
Have a fab eveing all xxNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Hi everyone
Didn't have to go into work as have swapped my half day today for one in a few weeks when I don't usually work (I work 2.5 days a week).
We had a lot of snow yesterday evening so had to leave my car down on the main road. I live up a very steep drive, and don't like driving it up and down even though we had cleared the drive.
I have a very bruised head today :eek:Yesterday when I opened the boot to put some shopping in it crashed down on my head - OUCH!
A very nice lady came over to me as she had seen it happen, and held the boot lid up whilst I put the stuff in. I'm fine, but it was a shock. Will have to get it seen to!
My DD phoned today, she is travelling (again) and is in South Korea at the mo. She has been to Nepal and Thailand (month each) and next goes to Melbourne as she has a work visa. So, I'm not sure when I will see her again, so it was lovely to speak to her. She is very good at keeping in touch on FB and her photos are great.
Keep safe and warm everyone and Happy Birthday to Miffy.0 -
Anyone seen Monnogran? Hope she's ok.0

Evening
Wet and windy here still quite cold but supposed to warm up at the weekend.
Happy Birthday Miffy.
OS DW been on today as full after dinner, which was Chilli and rice from the freezer and LO crumble and custard. Have prepared tomorrows pack ups, will be HM pizza, fruit and yogurts which need eating before they go out of date.
Think I will venture to Ald! for weekly shop tomorrow, reduced my shopping bill no end before, just not made the effort to go since DD went to uni as used to pop in when dropping her in town. DS and I have discussed what we want for meals next week and I have been through cupboards, fridge and freezer so have list which I am determined to stick to. Want to save some money so can afford petrol to go visit DD during half term.

Evening everyone
Have had a very hectic day which started at 6.15. Dh got bit by our dog this am so we had a trip to A&e for dressing and Inj. DH had gone to pick up little dogs food for the woofer we are looking after, but approached our dog from where he couldnt see him, our dog must have thought that little dog was going to pinch the food and turned but got dh. Normally we can take our dogs food away from him, but usually from where he can see us. Eventually got home and then had to go into work late but let them know. Doing a full day next week instead and going on the school trip.
After work nipped to shop for onions, pick up prescriptions and also collected 2 lovely little desks off someone from freecycle, they are fantastic. Took ds2 swimming after school, had dinner then it was out to scouts.
os today not alot.
Miffy - hope you had a lovely birthday.
Jools - Glad you and your ds have booked your break in minorca.
