    Morning :hello:

    Happy Birthday Miffy :bdaycake: :D
Mr tru brought home lots of paper, so I put the shredder to work. There's a mountain of the stuff, should keep the chickens going for a while.

It started snowing again at about 6pm, lovely big fat flakes and lots of them :D The snow on the ground was almost gone, now everything's white again. It's still snowing but very lightly.

Master tru seriously overloaded the washing machine and now it won't spin properly  I have to wait for the load to finish, then put it on a separate spin setting – long spin won't work, short spin will. I took the top off and watched it working, looks like the effort of trying to spin a jam-packed heavy load has stretched the belt a bit. He has a habit of putting his washing on just before work, meaning that I have to sort his stuff before I can use the machine. I decided to leave it in there for him to sort when he got home yesterday, I have three loads to do today now with a machine that won't do a fast spin. I think the programmer has broken - just realised that the load I put on two hours ago is still going, it's supposed to take just over an hour.

Today I'm going to attempt to crochet a little owl. Wish me luck :D

    Morning All,

:bdaycake: Miffy Hope yu have a lovely day.

Fasting day today. 500 calories. Had a large mushroom, grilled tomato one rasher of lean bacon and a poached egg for breakfast. Drinking loads of hot water and lemon. Horrible, but I'll get used to it:rotfl: Lost another two pounds, so I was 12 stone 2lb last Monday and today I am 11stone 8lb:T Pleased with myself. I think this AF eating plan suits me, as you only have to do it on two days a week, then eat what you like on the other days. (Obviously don't go mad and overeat!)

DD, DSIL and DGD are over tomorrow as they are both working Friday. So made a sausage cassoulet for tomorrow and put it in the fridge to let all the flavours develop. Would love some today, but I will resist:rotfl:

Had snow in Brighton last night, caused havoc apparently. We were lucky we only had rain.

Must sort out some more Ebay stuff too.

    Have a good day all!

    Happy birthday Miffy :)

Another snowy day here, it's just never quite enough to get the snow day I'm dreaming off - shame really, I've got tons to do at home ;) Luckily, the kids seem to be in a much better mood than they were at the start of the week, so hopefully we'll get lots done. It's always a struggle this time of year, with coursework deadlines looming and interest fading fast!

Was up extra early this morning (work up 40 minutes before my alarm), so I've already managed to get one load of washing out and on the rack/radiators, and there's a load in the machine too, so I should be all up to date with that now. Leftovers for tea as well, cooking for 2-3 days makes life much easier I'm finding. Helps that I never really worked out portions when cooking for one, so giving in and cooking a batch makes everything better - including my diet!

    Have a lovely day everyone

Morning all! Light dusting of snow again this morning but still not a lot!
DS has filled his washing basket with clean clothes which were obviously part of the floordrobe, have given them a shake and folded them again, not playing that game any more, he's old enough to recognise dirty washing!
Dont know what to get up to today, will pop to mum in law and see how she is, still struggling with the first visit to FIL, and have been super-emotional this week (i.e hormonal too!) so dont think its a good idea yet! Will need to drag out the sewing machine and see if its working, my guess is no as its antique and was dodgy the last time I tried it a couple of years ago, told DD I would make some cushion covers for her bedroom with the miles of excess fabric from her curtains, good old ikea, think the curtains might have covered most of the carpet too they were so long!!!
    Have a good day all!

    Morning everyone,

    Miffy happy birthday.

    Jools hugs for you.

No new snow here but we do have lots left from monday.
We haven't had any snow days so I don't think we have had the weather as bad as the rest of the country but the pavements and side roads are icy.

School is calming down again as we are getting towards the end of the exam period at last.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    :beer:Many Happy Returns Miffy:beer:

No more snow here and what is left from the weekend is slowly disappearing :j

Was planning to have a really productive day today as spent yesterday being a taxi & running errands, but now have DS home ill so has thrown me out of routine. Oh well the work really isn't going anywhere :o

Just waiting for our local garage to come and fit a new battery for OH's van which we are selling so cant really get into anything at the moment, will then have lunch & get into gear for this afternoon.

Today's menu plan has changed as DD off out this evening so will probably be egg and chips or omelette.

    Have a good day all.x

Didn't get on yesterday because I didn't feel too well, still don't feel too good, so I will have an easy day today, just got to make some bread really.
We had about another half an inch of snow last night so DH had to clear snow again this morning, he has asked the Head to order some more salt, because it is getting very low. His school has a reputation for staying open when others don't.

    Just started snowing again.

    Good afternoon all,

Its gone cold again here,we had a lovely clear day yesterday so the rest of the snow has frozen but the roads are fine.I had a lift to L1D1 yesterday so topped up the fruit & veg,and today got a lift to town as Ds was going in,so grabbed the chance to go & buy my friends birthday pressie for next week.OOh that reminds me
Happy Birthday Miffy, hope you have a nice day(only a couple of years behind you:rotfl:)

Not decided on tea yet, something from the freezer.Mind you,did this yesterday and got a hm lasagne out but it tasted a bit stale and it got binned :o,oh the shame:rotfl:,I deffo need to work on a better system for freezer food rotation.DH had some of the soup I made at weekend and I had a micro baked spud with leftover chicken casserole instead.I think half the time the problem is I look at the meals in the freezer and dont fancy them so they get shoved to the bottom.Must do better!

    Anyway,hope you're all having a pleasant day,hugs if you're not x

    Hi all

I'm a little later than usual coming online today; been busy with the exciting task of cleaning the loo! :D
Hoppy Birdday Miffy; have a lovely day, even if you're staying home.
I'm another owner of a de-humidifier; it's great to not have to mop every window-sill in the bungalow every morning!:o It lives just outside the bathroom, and if I have to dry stuff indoors, the washing tends to go on A-frames over the bath, so it helps with that, too.:o

Mr LW took a small shopping list to work with him; we deffo need milk (he takes the cool box with ice packs in to put it in), and I said if he could get any of the other stuff that'd be good, but don't worry too much, none of the rest is urgent. Well, he's just called me to say he got everything on the list.:A:T

Sausage & chips for dins tonight - Mr LW has cut the chips for me and left them in a bowl of water.:A We've currently got Mr T's Mediterranean style veggie sausages in the freezer, which are nice. Fried toms as well, methinks.;)

I must remember to get him to get the BM down from its home on top of the fridge/freezer tonight - for one thing, I think we'll need to make a loaf tomorrow, and for another, it's pizza for dins tomorrow, so I'll need to make pizza dough.:o I'm a great believer in doing things in advance, if it's possible - where Mr LW used to work, they had a saying, known as the "Six P's": Prior Preparation Prevents P**s-Poor Performance.:D I thoroughly agree with this!:o

Butterfly I hope you're feeling a bit better today - in fact, same goes for all who've been under the weather lately.:o Roll on spring, say I!!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
