You would think that, wouldn't you!
The decision makers said that both children didnt need any extra help, therefore, DLA wasnt being awarded.
I spent a good 4 weeks chasing up letters from schools (even tho said child has a classroom assistant) Doctors, consultants and OT's, I filled out the forms, and sent them away. It took them 3 months to answer back, just to say NO. In truth, I know I could have appealed, but, those forms are horrendous, I was told I had to over exaggerate conditions etc but when you see what your writing down about your own child, its not pleasant.
Anytime I have claimed anything, wtc, ctc... I have always been overpaid, and ended up oweing them thousands.
I have 5 children, I receive £97 per week child tax credit, and £73?? per week child benefit. Its laughable sometimes...... NOT.

I am at work at the moment but will post properly later. I know the forms are a nightmare ( my son has ASD) but there are charities that will help you fill out the forms. These people know what to write. I had a lovely lady from our local Autism trust come out to our home to help fill out the forms.
It is very easy to plod along in silence. I did it for many years. xx

They are wrong. You should also write to your MP which can be done on the Internet and demand they respond as to why you have been treated so shoddily. My new Polish neighbours have been here for just 6 months and get more than you get!

I shall say no more for fear of being lambasted, but then I think the idea is to push us down so we are afraid to say anything.
