We are on the Virgin 10Mb and whenever I do a speed check it is very close to that. Just done one now and at 9.76, which is what I normally get in the evening too. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

My virgin 100mb has never let me down!! i get really quick downloads!! even at peak times i get a very fast connection! I stream laptop to tv and oh watches other programmes on laptop at same time while both running our phones on it and never glitches!!0

I don't have any problems with Sky Unlimited here. The article doesn't mention if it's the Unlimited or the Connect service which is known to be appalling. But its the same with almost every major ISP in the end, they get greedy, sign up as many people until they're bursting at the seams and the service suffers as a result. Call it the TalkTalk syndrome.
this evening, seems at bit faster than usual if anything:I can criticize VM for pricing and lack of tv channels but nobody can touch them when it comes to broadband.
Funny, I've heard of plenty of problems with VM broadband. Heres one for a start: http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/virgin_cable/4179507-internet-down-again.html?page=1, looks like a similar problem of over-subscriptionBlessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0 -
I'd be happy with any of the above speeds.
I have been having problems since november and many chats with sky and finally last week someone told me that BT were doing a capacity upgrade (?) which should be ready by february.
They upgraded my line/package or whatever but am still lucky if I get nearly 3mbs - grrrrrr.

Its not signing as many to BB, its the offers of sign up for our Telephone/TV package and we will give you free broadband.
because the broadband is free it will have limited upload/downloads etc. but everyone and their grandmother will be on it at the same time, crashing limited network.
best to get BB from a separate supplier or just get a paid plan from your supplier and forget about the free offer of BB.
this was Talk Talks issue0 -
You keep going on about free BB but I'm willing to bet there are very few subscribers with that 2GB limit, thats just about good enough to read emails and not much more.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0
