they still have a unlimited download but its overnight, not sure what the limit is during the day as i dont download
Web browsing counts towards the download limit (if you have one) as it downloads data (doesn't have to be a literal file download to count towards your limit). (But as you're on an unlimited package it doesn't matter). They do differentiate between types of data ie P2P, streaming etc.0 -
oh shall show dh this later.. we have sky atm looking into our connection as the most we get at any time during the day is 1.9 mbps... up until 2 weeks ago we were getting nearly 7 so big drop and we can't use it to watch their sky go even so not providing the product we are paying for... we have the thoughts of them trying to force people onto fibre optic.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Are you on their unlimited package? If on a package with a cap then watching on demand TV etc counts towards the limit and I think they then throttle the connection.0 -
My virgin 100mb has never let me down!! i get really quick downloads!! even at peak times i get a very fast connection! I stream laptop to tv and oh watches other programmes on laptop at same time while both running our phones on it and never glitches!!0

I'm a very happy Sky B.B.customer on their unlimited package. Have only suffered 2 small glitches since I've been using them & they were quickly resolved.0

Never had any issues with good throughput 24/7 on their unlimited ADSL package even during peak times. I'm now on their FTTC product and get 40Mbit every time I've speed tested it.
Before I upgraded on my line with 10Mbit max speed...

I transferred from BT to Sky unlimited last year. Was fine for the first 3 or 4 months but has recently become really flaky. Goes off several times a night, only for a few minutes but really annoying!0

One good reason to use a small provider.
I'm on Demon & also took part in the OfCom BB speed trials a couple of years back. I got to keep the supplied kit for future speed trials & get monthly reports on speed from 'Samknows'. Slowest speed in 2 years - 5.9Mb/s, Fastest - 7.9Mb/s with an average of 7.3Mb/s.
My nieghbours on BT, Sky & TalkTalk have seen their speed drop to an average of 4.6Mb/s.Never Knowingly Understood.
