Hi..
basicly i have alot of debt and im in need of a bank account because my current bank have said that they will take any credits from my account to pay the debt.
but every bank i have been too has declined me because of credit score,
im at the wits end because i wont have a bank account for wages which in turn means i will lose my job
what can i do?

Look at the the very top thread, discussing basic bank accounts and choose an account discussed in the last few months. Make sure it's not allied to any banking group with whom you have debts.0

i have debt in barclays and co-op just declined me saying i would have to go into a major branch which is physically impossible for me0 -
Well, sooner or later you inevitably run out of options.
Get your wages paid into some relative's or friend's account and ask them to give you cash.0 -

The banks don't care about the name. The sort code and the account number is the only information that matters for bank transfers. I am no expert and it might be different for wages/salary though.
Loading the money to some prepaid card can be an alternative to cash.0 -

You may find the same with any bank offering a basic account.
Try HSBC.
Or try one of the buliding societies.
Again may have to be done in person.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

We're trying to help and you're playing the "yes, but" game. You need to put yourself out more. Which Basic Bank accounts have declined you? NB Co-op telling you to visit a branch is not the same as declining you0

Again, I am not sure that this will work for wages. More knowledgeable people can either confirm this or correct me.0 -
You missed the point. I suggested to give your employer your name and the sort code and the account number of some friend/relative.

i didnt miss the point my work do a modulus check on all bank details which checks the name and detail match with the bank...
