i have always thought mine to be high and this thread seems to confirm it.
3 bed detached bungalow, i work full time and am away 2 weekends a month i tend not to feel the cold so don't have heating on much but my combined bill is £45 a month.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?

bungalows are bad for energy effiency though, in a two story house the waste heat that rises from downstairs heats upstairs, in a bungalow, you heat the roof space. Check you're insulation is 270mm. Also think about all the differences between houses, a new house is far more energy efficient than one from even 15-20 years ago (like twice as effieient) think wall insulation, roof insulation, double glazing, "air bricks" in old houses.... the list goes on.Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0

I lived in a 100 year old house and it was lovely and warm and cheaper to heat than my 50 odd year old house.
Now 4 bed semi (1950's). £24 leccy and £30 gas (before price rises). Cooker electric, hob gas, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher etc. Only 1 tv usually on for a few hours per evening with cinema system. Immersion heater never used. Living flame gas fire rarely used. I think its my Washing machine that eats the electric as the bills went up when I bought a new washer 8 years ago and it was cold fill. When I replaced 4 years ago I searched for a a hot/cold fill but was told they were no longer available.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
