  • For my daughter & SIL as well as all mentioned above I found the £1 shop great for fun stuff-games-crafty stuff. One off 'projects' fill in's for them. ie plaster casts for 'door' plaques, Packs to make birthday/get well cards. Got some great 'stupid' books from there - for fun. Like said above - can be passed around if not used.Also their long life sponge cakes were popular.
    Also found the small /picnic size bags of biscuits good as fill ins for the shoe boxes. Daughter request each time on tour for a small soft mat - to put beside her 'bed'!!
  • Oh and the long life rice pudds/custard, just make sure you double wrap before putting in the box - sometimes they do burst in transit.
