Evening everyone, hope you are keeping safe and warm wherever you are.

Weather here not great, not as bad as UK but not great. We had great big flurries of snow this morning, but looking out the window at work seems to be all but gone so hopefully journey home will be uneventful today. We live only 10 miles from mountains and it seems to be very thick up there, DS (24) was there yesterday with his friends, snowballing and sleding and he said it was thick on the ground, his car got stuck and had to be hauled out, I really hope it goes away, I love looking at it first day, after that, no thanks, I am terrifed of falling and really doing damage. Added to the fact that the heat in the office is not working, it was just not nice today, hard to type with your jacket on...

Ivy is still here, thanks to everyone who sent healing vibes, she is still the same as reported the other day, up, walking around and back eating, but as per the the vet we are keeping her confined in cage when we are at work and watching her like a hawk when she is out of it, its very touching to see the girls each morning and night, when we put her in, they sit looking at each other through the bars, because they always sleep together, from the time we had them as puppies, but to be honest I will do whatever it takes to keep her well, just means I have to spend even more time on cuddles and treats for them both. Not so great myself, just been told I have chronic oesto (sp) arthritis in both hips and one knee, not sure what the treatment, or prognosis is for this but I have known for some time something just was not right so kinda glad I now know, but scared of what the outcome will be in time, major changes ahead I think, but will see a specialist on 4th Feb so should know more then. No car today, mine needs a starter motor so will need to wait in office of OH to collect me and then home to quickie tea, probably a breakfast tea, may do some potatoes/chips or something just to bulk it out and fill everyone up. Need to put on a wash as well. Sorry for the long winded mail, stay safe.

Candy, nice to see you posting, so sorry to hear about your Mum's friend. Hugs to Jools, Lou, Molly, and anyone else I have missed.Hugs to whoever wants or needs one.

Candy - RIP Carol, hope you and Mum are ok x

Few minor snow flurries here today, very chilly.

Looong day in work, we had a 5hour long staff meeting (we did have breaks!), absolutely braindead now. I was meant to go to college tonight but I'm far too tired. My new group of work kids start tomorrow, TBH I'm not looking forward to it, I haven't had enough time to prep cos I've been off sick, but it's too awkward to delay it and I'm sure it will be fine.

OS wise - had a yummy packed lunch of LO roasted veg and couscous, HM freezer meal for tea, need to rummage in freezer for a meal for lunch tomorrow.

    Have a good evening all

We had snow this morning at home but none at work about 12 miles away. Has been snowing on and off all day but not settling thank goodness. It is mighty cold though!

Chicken stir fry was a tasty tea that has just been decluttered. Oz visitors have been back and gone out to friends for tea, will see them tonight when I get in and then they will leave for Yorkshire tomorrow morning - hope they get there ok. I will send them away with a shovel, blankets and a flask with a hot drink in just in case - one of them is diabetic so will give them a pack up too.

House still clean and tidy after my mammoth clean at the weekend so will stay in and keep warm tonight.

Hugs to all in need, especially Candy, your Mum's friend is at peace now.

    Take care. XX

Well snow is slowly going thank goodness and the school are open tomorrow. My lovely builder finishes up my bathroom tomorrow as well and he's been so good I am goin to get him to redecorate my hall and stairs.Bless him he even cleared my outside steps and path for me of snow before he went home tonight as he knows I have the school run in the morning, what a lovely chap he is.
I am awaiting DD Tessa's phone call to tell me how she got on today ,she texted me at lunchtime and said that she had arrived there OK this morning and was enjoying it.
Eldest DD went into work and her boss sent everyone home at lunchtime as the school was closed anyway because of the snow, but she can do a lot of her work from home anyway.
Hope everyone is safe and warm at home and not out on the icy roads tonight .The weather is looking really bad as the snow moves north, although the children love it
    Take care folks

Candy - hugs to your mum and Carol's family - RIP Carol x

Managed to start us off this morning, and then was busy trying to find out if the boys school was open, complete nightmare - will be having strong words with them when they open again tomorrow. Complete shambles - no annoucement made until 7.50am. We've had no more snow today but had continous snowfall yesterday from the afternoon until well into the night - roads were rather treacherous this morning - but boys stayed at home and I got to work ok.

Work was much busier than we expected - but was good to be so busy.

Dinner tonight was fish, chips/jacket. beans/veg - DS1 should have had his interview for his college course, but it was cancelled due to the weather and is re-scheduled for sometime in March.

Take it steady, keep safe and well x

    Evening everyone

Been mia but have been reading each day, just not getting chance to post. Still quite a lot of snow here but main roads seem to be clear. DS2 had day off school today, so he was very happy. DS1 college was open but he said only 3 people were in his class. We are looking after my dsd little jack russell for the week, he is only 5 months old and very cute. Took them both out this morning in the forest in the snow, they loved it. The hard bit was the leads getting tangled around me.

os today floors all swept downstairs, dw emptied, sc put on with beef in it for dinner. wm on and put on airer, stairs hoovered.

Candy - Sorry to hear of the loss of your mums friend Carol, may she rest in peace. ((hugs)).
Cait - Hope you are not in too much pain. Glad to hear Ivy is improving.
Jackieo - hope your dd ist day went well in her new job.
    Hugs to molly & LW.

Sorry If I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

Busy day here, still no snow lying although we have had a few gentle flurries. Was going to start a clear out of the room of doom, my bedroom, but after searching for the binbags saw a growing pile of filled ones and junk in the hall, DD was gutting hers and ruthlessly evicting her cuddly toys etc, so abandoned my plans and did multiple runs to the dump and CS with her stuff. She was headfirst in the wardrobe in a mountain of stuff, and we decided she really needed a chest of drawers, hasnt had one for years but has loads of coats, clothes, multiple work uniforms etc, so after my trip to the doctors we headed to the big blue box shop, and bought a chest of drawers, bedside drawers, duvet set, drawer organisers, a lamp, and half a dozen wine glasses, spent just over £120 so quite pleased. DS has been gently reminded that he needs a massive clear out in his room, his is the smallest bedroom and an awkward shape, so new furniture needs careful thought, and he still has a childs wardrobe and needs a bigger bed, his bed base is worse for wear.
So dinner was a quick pizza thrown in the oven whilst DD and I built furniture, we are feeling quite pleased with ourselves as we managed fine after searching 3 tool boxes for the appropriate tools, and I am now having a well earned glass of wine, wont need one of my newly prescribed sleeping pills tonight cos I am knackered!
Hope everyone is staying safe and warm!
    RIP Iain
