dunstonh you and I both know what I am about and my intentions ,the code of conduct was progress .I am promoting the ethics of the site. It is one of the few sites that you can go on and feel that there is one purpose and that is not for the financial gain of those with business interests.
I will happily give you a list of those who do tout and another of those who post for leisure .

I have no connections with L&C ,I have used and have views on Halifax, there customer service leaves a lot to be desired .This site is about all that.

SOME brokers hate them and call them because they are competition,is that not wrong ,perhaps L&C might feel wronged and take action.

So please I do not want to get bogged down ,just let me concentrate on those who are taking the Michael.
    Take care old man.

we all know what you are doing. go ahead and publish the list here and we can all have a laugh.
I have never seen L & C as competition as they are not independent as far as I can see from their website. In fact I dont see anyone as competition as there is plenty of business for everyone and I am not just talking about this site. The majority of my business comes from referals and not from this site.
I like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)

I thought you said that you are going away for a few days.
Correct I do not have mortgages on my properties, paid in full, but I have consulted London & London historically, that means in the past, and I recommend them to friends and family as I do with other services that I have used.

    Here we go again.

Yet another poster falls victim to the "Mortgage broker lovin" that fumigates this board.

kenshaz, don't even bother getting sucked into an argument. Especially with("the ironically named") Mr helpful.

May I just say that you have given some of the most unbiased refreshing advice I have read on this board in along time. Maybe it's because your not a mortgage broker, I don't know?.

Not saying that all the mortgage brokers on here are bad, but ("the ironically named") Mr helpful for example.

Do you actually give any advise that is worthwhile and not patronising?

And why munch on sour grapes and point out FSA regulations that has nothing to do with an individual giving their own personal recommendations?

Is their just a tiny hint of jealousy and bitterness that you can never give out such quality advice yourself?

Or is that He's pointing out the broker that Martin personally recommend and you don't happen to agree? (financial reasons maybe?)

I suggest you re-read your signature old chap and confirm which site this forum belongs to.

    So, lets elaborate.

If your not here for the business, what exactly are you here for?

Other than personally fanning flames and stoking the fire.

to say he's fed up of this bickering.

If you need to bicker you should now be doing it on one of the existing discussion threads on mortgage brokers, not on threads asking for information.

I would therefore wish to once again wish to reiterate my experiences London & Country and I have compared them to other brokers.
They are prompt efficient and I was happy with the service that I received.
They have a website ,which I consulted.

    Something doesnt add up here.

L & C are the type of company young brokers start out with, if you like the B& Q of mortgage brokers, where experience tends to be in short supply.

I myself started with this type of outfit.

Serious investors tend to end up with smaller brokers where personal service and expereience is in a totaly different league.

I know a sales manager at L & C and every time I see him he is at his wits end over staff retention - people just go there to learn the job. Decent brokers would never stay put in such an organisation - although there would be exceptions.

Given you dont mention a specific individual are we to assume anyone might take a new enquirers call and that that person may be new to the job?

Most people I know neading a professional job done would not recommend a large call centre type operation.
  • Thanks dunstonh - the initials are your ms - not sure if I am allowed to say where it is??? Bells?!
