I'm sure I won't be the only one who admits to adding too many oats and ending up with bolognese flavoured porridge! Yuck!_pale_
Haha I would eat that though! I find oats (and lentils) to be really satisfying and filling - they seem to stop hunger for ages without making me feel sleepy or bloated like meat does, and without making me feel full for a while but then desperately hungry again like too much wheat or potatoes do...'Never keep up with Joneses. When I had porridge (AND toast) for breakfast, I was starving within the hour - desperate for a lunch break, so I could eat more and be ravenous for dinner.
Now that I've upped the protein and fat, and swapped to creamy scambled eggs or even just a few tbs of full-fat yogurt, I have to consciously make myself eat at lunch or dinner0 -
It's mad just how different everyone is, isn't it.

Same for me. Porridge wears off as if someone has flicked a switch in my tummy that says must eat NOW!!!! at about 11am.

That's really weird, because when I was just having porridge for breakfast I'd be full until lunchtime, and sometimes longer.0 -
I buy a 6 pack of Brains faggots, usually when they are on offer, I use half to make a cottage pie - you can bulk it up with a tin of baked beans and an onion mixed in, then mix the rest with some pasta sauce and an onion and make spag bol. It makes them really tasty.0
