OK - I finished the bathrooms except for the aluminium venetian blind in the shower room upstairs - looks fabulous but the very devil to clean as I have to climb (not good for me) so will ask OH very very nicely ...

Stuck a few things on eBay and done my works emails. No trip to PO as I haven't sold any books :(

Now to set about the kitchen. Made kedgeree last night - lovely!!! Trouble is the kitchen always smells of smoked haddock the next day despite hood on highest setting 3 and doors and windows all open ( we only have it in the summer!!!)

any good ideas on how to get rid ? Needless to say all washing up done immediately and tiles/cooker wiped down after dinner ... and you can still smell it :(

first of all before i forget happy birthday Solwaykid.

Doesnt look like i'm going to get very much done today, 2 youngest off school till tuesday plus my brother whos 34 but still thinks hes a teenager turned up on my doorstop this morning.
Hes decided that he and the kids are doing the housework for me:eek: first thing the dishes dd3 was about to use cooking oil instead washing up liquid.
think i might just send them all out on a few errends for an hour.
i'm going to lock myself in the bathrooms and get them done and just leave them to it.:rotfl:

I think the cold weather is just here!! I am on the east coast so everyone else should be safe from it.. the sun keeps peeping through and it is really nice when it does.. hey ho!

Hubby sent off to work now so I can crack on.. I am going to see if I can manage to do something without the wrist strapped up today.. my RSI (repetative SLAP injury!! lol) I couldn't manage much yesterday.. but today might be better.. yes? no? lol

Washing folding first.. I can do that while strapped up.

not off to a bad start, with the real cleaning done in the bathroom at least. Not done fully since the in-laws visited a month ago, so i'm pleased with that, as swish and swipe works, but it doesn't feel really clean or sparkly.
Charlie has just woke up from his 1st nap, i guess his main one will be while we are out and about, so i will have to see what i can manage over the rest of the day.

If you have no children or spare rooms then enjoy your weekend, as those are on the list for tomorrow

    Also need to:-

    [STRIKE]Put WM on
    S & S Lounge, Kitchen[/STRIKE]
Trip to veg shop for veg for tea
    [STRIKE]Pre-school to [/STRIKE]and fro
    DD1 friend coming to play
[STRIKE]Hoover conservatory (move furniture, decobweb, wipe down PVC)[/STRIKE]

I have just made a batch of double chocolate chip cookies with DD2, she loves baking (well they both do:D ):D . I have had one and they are up to standard - have to taste test before giving others;) (well thats my excuse and I am sticking to it:p ).

Maralum, you have my sympathy (although dont think you have hit due date yet have you??). After emergency C-section with DD1 I was determined to have a "normal" delivery with DD2. I managed to get 10 days past my due date and still nothing (was only meant to have a week but we moved 2 weeks before my due date so that confussed them;) ). As I had no sign of any movement I had to have another C-section:mad: . I tried everything had curry, glass of red wine, fresh pineapple and forced DH to do the business;) - still NOTHING!!! Both my girls were far too comfortable in there i think. DD1 was 13 days overdue, I was going in to be induced but started off the night before.

I think all these things are meant to work by stimulating your bowels therefore getting other things in that area going. Worth a try though! Nice long walk, take away curry, glass of wine and fresh pineapple followed by a bit of rumpy pumpy. Good luck!
