Morning all
No fresh snow here, so just frozen snow left on the ground. I was surprised yesterday when I went to the 2 towns further East than me as they had hardly any snow on ground at all compared to here!Essex-girl wrote: »So hope to have a 'doing' day - had quite a lazy afternoon yesterday so no excuses :rotfl:.
Not really sure what I'll get up to today, may go for a little walk if it stays dry. Trying to get a short walk in daily now, so I can build back up to running once Dr okays it (hopefully on Tues!). Spare room needs sorting so will tackle that.
OS wise - WM may go on if I have enough for a load, need to look at how to patch some jeans and see whether I can do it myself, have LO roast veg to use up so may make a couscous salad.
Have a good day all, stay warm

Good morning everyone
No more snow overnight but it's frozen again and it looks decidely risky underfoot and under wheels Am in work this afternoon so hope it thaws a little by then.
Oxfam managed to collect so the hall is clear again. Let's see what I can fill in with this week but it needs a good brush and hoover first which is next on my list of jobs.
DH walked to the shops yesterday for some bread and milk and we had a funny mishmash of things for dinner but we enjoyed it. Minced pork out for tonight to make a curry and soup and sandwiches for lunch before work.
I showed DH the reading nook and he agrees that we could make a lovely one in this room under the loft stairs. All we need to do it move all the clutter out of here .... which may take some time!
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who want or just need them. Keep warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning all, no fresh snow here but it has compacted and is lethal on pavements and roads. Jack and I managed a walk this morning without slipping over. need to do schoolwork, quick tidy round and finish laundry. Not sure what's for dinner but we have plenty of choice.
Good luck with your form Molly hugs to all in need esp jools and all who are poorly. Healing vibes for all poorly pets too.
Have a good day all and stay safe and warm, I have to contemplate how I'm going to get up the hill to work tomorrow:eek:

Morning all! Chiily but no snow forecast here until late tonight, will see if mum needs any shopping as the current forecast is for snow the whole day tomorrow.
DD and I had chinese food last night, I now have the usual headache following it and the IBS is active today!!!
DS had some excitement, was walking to work yesterday and got stopped and searched by the Police because he was dressed head to toe in black, he was suitably unamused until he got to work and there were about 10 police in the shop as a guy dressed in black had tried to rob them at knifepoint just before! Apparently he now understands why there are 2 baseball bats by the back door:eek:
Oh well, WM has finished, better get it emptied then get to mums, have a good day all and stay safe!RIP Iain

Good morning all.
We opened the curtains at 8am to see that it was snowing, and it is set to be snowing for most of the day.
I'll be ordering my supermarket grocery delivery this morning. I normally have the delivery on Monday evening, but this time I'm booking delivery for Wednesday afternoon, to give the weather situation time to improve. There's nothing worse than having the delivery cancelled.
We have roast chicken for dinner today, and I'll be boiling up the carcass to form the basis of tomorrow's dinner too.
Apart from that, we're just staying in the warm., so I hope everyone can do the same.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Snowing hard in Hastings.:snow_laug
Staying in again. Haven't been out the door since Thursday, and not going to either. Run out of bread and cheese, but I've got long life milk and I can manage without the rest:rotfl: Freezer still full and loads of tins (seems to be a lot of mushy peas though!:rotfl:)
DD is supposed to be coming tomorrow as we have my dad's last review with the PCC about the NHS paying his fees. We think they will, although if not I will run out money in a couple of months time.:o
Molly please get someone to help with your DLA form. They are quite complicated and when I did my last one the MS lady helped me. Where it said "Do you have trouble dressing?" I said "No" and she said, "Yes you do, you can't do up buttons!" I'd forgotten that, I put my clothes on over my head so I don't have to worry about buttons. These are the questions that you need to answer in a certain way, or you will not get what you are entitled to.
Pasta for dinner today, only me here.
Have a good day all.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning all,
Snowing here :j, meant to be set in for the day, going to collect dd's boyf from the station at 11, so I am going to pop into the shop and get more bird seed, poor things are starving, have been out this morning with the last of the seed and fresh water.
DD and boyf are cooking today, and I think they are going to make a cake, so I shall stay clear of the kitchen, I might list some more bits on ebay, we have stuff finishing tonight and its doing quite well.
Will try and do an online shop today to delivery during the week, might as well get it out of the way. Have got our beddding in the wm, will get dd to strip hers tomorrow.
Will get the dog out for a walk later on, and other than that it will be a cosy day in.
Stay safe everyone,
Have good days all xxxx0 -
Morning all,
No more snow here but freezing.
A relaxing day today hopefully. Plan to run for twenty minutes on the treadmill first. If I don't do it this morning it won't get done.
A visit from dh eldest son and the grandchildren this morning and DS is on the way with his gf.
Once everyone has gone plan to drive over to range for a mooch. We need a new heater for DS room as its freezing. It's the one over the garage and can't seem to warm it up whatever we do.
Tea will be steak pasta and salad. Determined to lose another couple of pounds this week..
Jools I am exactly the same with Chinese food:eek:

Was the Chinese food from a takeaway?
I stopped eating takeaway Chinese a few years ago because the same thing kept happening to me. Apparently it's caused by MSG (Monosodium glutamate) which is used as a flavour enhancer. Not sure if it enhances the flavour but it gives me the most awful headaches and a really bad hangover feeling.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin
