Aww this is cute!
I love my mum too. She's been through a lot and my brother and I have turned out to be two nice, normal adults! Shes been my mum and dad really. Since moving out I still ring her every night!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0 -

I talk to my mum every day on the phone, usually more than once. If I ring her and she doesn't answer, I worry, so I ring a few minutes later. It's usually because she has been hoovering and not heard the phone :rotfl:
I love her very much, and I know that I am lucky that I still have her - she's 79 and in relatively good health for her age. Every week, I go for my tea, taking the kids wwith me. Two teenage lads, 21 year old daughter, and now daughter's boyfriend too - and my mum loves having us around her. I'm sure she thinks we never eat any veg for the rest of the week, though, as she always cooks so much
I see my mum about three or four times a week as well, and I know she is there for me if I ever need her. I hope she knows I am there for her as well. During the snow, she won't go out as she is afraid of slipping, so I have made a greater effort to pop down to see her and to ring her a bit more often. Her friend is a similar age, but she doesn't hear from her children very often. One daughter takes her mum shopping every week, but nobody rings her regularly, despite the faact that she has health and mobility problems. Although they no doubt love their mum, and I know she loves them, I find it sad that they don't keep in touch as often. It is only a couple of years ago that another friend of my mum's (also a friend of the other lady I have mentioned) was found one morning by carers after a fall the night before. Luckily she was inside, but she had broken her hip and didn't return home before her death four months later.
I know my mum isn't reading this, as she doesn't use computers, but I love her very much. She drives me round the bend at times
, but she is my mum and I couldn't ask for a better one.
