Losing weight wasn't anything I mentioned, but I've been snacking (make that gorging) on the fast food left over from my mum's visit - and I feel horrible now. You know when you don't want to exercise cos you've stuffed yourself? Thats how I feel right now. Well, if Scarlett O'Hara can say it, I can say it too, tomorrow is another day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I have decided today that i am going to join the gym... its £30 a month and i know that's not very money saving but its the only exercise i actually will do. At the moment i'm feeling very bloated and tubby and i need to get this sorted.
The only decision now is whether to go and join whilst i am definitely decided but don't actually have the money, or wait for the tax rebate to come through that i've allocated some of to pay for? I could go down and join tomorrow and start using it straight away, which would definitely make me feel better.. but im not sure how long the tax is going to take to come through.0 -

Day 18 in the notanothergreyhair house and this is the story so far...notanothergreyhair wrote: »Ok, here are mine;
1. Brush my teeth 3 times a day, I need to get my oral health up to a high standard. (they are not minging by the way!)
This has fallen a little, I brush them every day but I need to make sure I do it well because it MATTERS!
2. Lose 2 stones of fat.
The scales and I had a disagreement so we aren't talking right now
3. Keep an accurate spending diary for the full 101 days.
I am doing ok on this, in fact I have been designing lots of new spreadsheets to keep me motivated
4. Make £100 extra money through ebay/amazon/quidco.
This I have done sweet FA about and ought to, some of the proceeds are allocated to a forthcoming wedding I am attending.
5. Stick to my established budget religiously.
See #3
6. Work every day towards my exams.
pfft!!! Better than I was anyway.
7. Pay off £1500 of my debt.
£244.83 paid off!
8. Smile at one different stranger every day (it is good for you).
There may be more as time goes on but the above changes will leave me feeling very happy when I have fulfilled them.
Good luck everyone.

Hiya guys,
I have been floating round on mse for ages looking for a good challenge and have been watching this one for days plucking up the courage to join.
So was wondering if i could join your challenge!
My goals for the 101 days are:-
1) Finally pass my driving test (Been learning for almost two years and still rubbish)
2) Make some new friends (am new to the area and don't really know anyone)
3) Tone up this wobbly body of mine
4)Learn to swim
5) Declutter my house
6) Get my finances in shape
7) Read a book a month ( have been reading the same book for almost two years now!):o
I hope to achieve my targets by joining the gym and posting an ad on gumtree regarding friends. I aim to take out my own car three times a week in order to practice for my driving test and to get it up to standards.
Thanks everyone, you all seem to be doing so well and are a real inspiration. good luck.:T:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j
