Yeah just got one from "platinumsolutionsuk" on ebay for the D900i locked on O2 and it doesn't work. Says he's going to send another but will see!
Please let us know if yours does and which seller you've got it from.
Oh darn, doesn't sound good, I have bought from the same seller, Have waited over two weeks now, I have been told it was posted but when I asked for proof of postage so I could follow it up with RM he told me he would post a new one this Monday. I will be really disappointed if it doesn't work. There is some positive feedback from people who have bought this unlocking clip though0 -

i would debrand it 1st then unlock it. i have written a guide on how to debrand SE phones HERE using wotanserver
Thanks again for the help mate.
I've spoke to T-Mobile who say if it has been used for 3 months ( Ipresume they mean the sim rather than the phone itself) they would be able to unlock it for £15 where as I'm being asked to pay £60 at a market stall here in N.Ireland.
So would I be correct in thinking if I can find someone who uses T-Mob Payg and got them to ask T-Mob for an unlock code it would unlock it and then I could debrand it.
Is that feasible?

Its the phone they unlock not the sim, How long have you been with them? It could be that your sim and IMEI number are linked0

Its a brand new w850i T-Mob Payg that I bought thinking it would be unlocked, I rang them today and all they asked for was the tel number.
The simcard is unused (I haven't even popped out of the holder yet).I'd like to teach the World to sing in perfect Harmony:j

im not sure if they will allow you to unlock it using a mates sim.
im in exactly the same position as you, but with a k810i also locked to tmob. i was a tmobile customer about a yr and a half ago, but the sims expired now and i dont know if they will let me have the unlock code0 -

I would have thought they would definitely need the IMEI number unless they were using the phone number to look up a linked IMEI number. I could be wrong, its always worth trying your idea especially if your friend hasn't registered his sim0 -

Cheers mate,
Might try it out if theres no risk and yeah I agree if they are to unlock it they will need the imei number but we never got that far.
Only concern is the fact they told me £15 (once 3 months use has passed) after getting the payg number, if someone else rings up and gives a different number maybe they will then quote a higher price as they will be aware that sim has been used longer than 3 months - if you follow me.

That gave me no brownie points with them at all, I used to have two £35 per month contracts with them for two years and was able to provide the details to prove it but was of no help.
The way I'll pitch it is I'm giving the new handset to the person (if I can find a T-Mobile payg user) and they want to unlock it for a spouse/child, hopefully that would work. :T

I think £15 is their standard fee for unlocking phones0
