Usually until the phone is switched off and then you have to do the same again. If you always keep your phone on and stick it on a charger before it dies, you should be okay.

It can be done for free but requires an expert to do it and if your not an expert then dont try and do it as it will no doubt !!!!!! the phone up, either take it to a local phone unlocking shop who will charge around £5-£10 to do it or you can buy a code that will unlock it for £8 (Vodacode) these codes take 24-72 to generate.

I have unlocked many but you cant do it for free, take it to your local unlocking shop who should have a box which can unlock it for you for around £5

Only if it is a V3, not if it is a V3R. It'll say which it is on the outside of the box or underneath the battery on the phone.

It is possible to unlock your phone by buying one of those codes. No free unlock. They are not free codes, those sellers have purchased those codes.
