Would that be the USB cable? If so, I have one of these. How would I then go about unlocking a V220 (currently locked to O2).

    Cheers

Have to buy a new mobile on PAYG and don't want to be locked into any network as o2 has best deal right now but that could change.
Is there any make of phone that is easy to unlock or else, any make that is really hard to unlock? I like Sony Ericsson phones but have heard that they need a cable unlock.
Any cheaper models to avoid as they are hard to unlock? Someone said Siemens were tough. Apologies if q asked b4 but there are 11 pages to this thread now! And some genius techies out there.

Thanks for any advice b4 I make another expensive mistake ;-(

siemens can be hard - so can the new motos
some of the new nokias are bb5 and can only be done by network for about £20 (dont get one on 3 if you want it unlocking)
samsungs are usually easy to unlock (cheapish) same with sony-ericssons
i think the o2 phones from cpw are already unlocked anyway (but just check)
