Please disregard, found the answer: needed to take sim card out first.

I am trying to unlock my phone but can't seem to input the code everyone is giving. I can't enter a * and can only enter numbers, pressing the # seems to enter the code I am trying and tells me that it is too short.

Can anybody help please.

i have 3 phones of my own i need unlocking:

motorola v547
samsung d500
motorola v220


Is there anyway of getting a standard data cable to work for all 3 or would i need to purchase a seprate one for each. Also would a samsung unlocking clip selling on ebay work on all samsung d500 (unlike the code listed here which doesnt work on mine). It just that i may be able to cover my costs by charging a few friends of mine who need there phones unlocking especially the samsung d500.
