hmmm u know if shops got the software to do it yet?

they would probably charge about £35 (it depends from shop to shop if they can unlock db2020 phones like the w850i k810i etc). if you feel up to it yourself, davinciteam.com offer an unlock service for about £35, but you have to do it yourself

    locked to vodaphone

They can be unlocked but not for free, by vodacode it will be £12, not sure how much a pro unlocker would charge as I dont have the equipment to unlock these with cables, only by code.

    Hi,
I purchased this phone last month. No free codes for it but i had it unlocked at a market stall for £10, but you may be able to get this done cheaper than that if you sh around. They all seem to charge £10 around my way.
    Cheers

    I want to unlock a samsung S500.
I have 3 codes that should do this, but one of them does nothing

    *2767*3855# full reset
    *2767*688# no response, does nothing
    *2767*927# WAP reset

Am I doing something wrong ?
should I use a working sim in the phone, or no sim, or a sim from a different provider (that will not work because its locked) ?

After the input of the codes, and I put a sim in the phone that is not supposed to work in the phone, I get a network (not SIM) block and have to input a password code. Does that mean its unlocked ?
Is there a way around the network block ?

No response either, the phone does not react to this code, just like with the 688 code

If I input *#7465625# = Check the locks
then I get a list of locks

    Network block = ON
    subset block - OFF
    SP block = ON
    CP block = OFF
    SIM block = OFF
    activa block = OFF
    phone block = OFF
    Auto network block = OFF
    Auto subset block - OFF
    Auto SP block = OFF
Auto Info message block = OFF
    Auto SIM block = OFF

It seems the sim is unblocked, but I still get a network block.

btw, I found a huge list of codes http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=190208&highlight=samsung+s500

Everywhere I look it seems the *2767*688# code should do the trick, I can't find a single website where someone complains about it.

How do I input the code (step by step), do I need a SIM or not, should it be the original sim that came with the phone, or a new sim from another provider (if I do that it asks for the network block password, which I don't have (8x 0 isn't it)) ?
Do I need to push a button after I input *2767*688# ? the other codes react the moment I press the last '#'.

ive not tried the codes on this model so i cant say for sure.
try with and without sim in
it should be the original networks sim i would think.
does it work ok on its original network?
it maybe that they have changed the s/w so codes dont work?
