Buffythedebtslayer said:OH Rosa you have a house, a house all of your own. I love this news! XXXXXThanks BuffyYes, I have a house, and hopefully soon I will be living in it. It's cost me a bloody fortune in money as well as hassle and stress, already, and I've decided to just deal with the storage unit later, but I have a house again. And a garden.

Sunday shuffle...Well it looks like I can stick around DFW for a whileCurrently CC stands at about £2,700. Some of this is van costs and already budgeted for, but most of it is house stuff and there is more to come as I think it will be worth getting some work done before I redecorate (electrics and plastering). Fortunately I think that's the only things that need doing with the house that I can't do myself or with help from friends. There will also be some costs with the garden but that can wait til the summer. I've already bought white goods and they are included in that cost (and I do love the new fridge freezer). The CC is 0% through to late spring so I am hoping to get it all done and cleared by then... but that may be a stretch, as also planning to go away in spring (should be low cost, but still some).I also have £3k owed to family which can be repaid once I've got the bank debts out of the way. And then I can start working on MFW, finally... hopefully...RB xxDebt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Stopping in to report two small wins just to keep myself on track. Locksmith is slightly less than I expected and I've found a local van company who will charge by the hour instead of a fixed fee. As none of my stuff is very fragile or valuable and it's not realistic to expect movers to wear masks I decided to go with this as it will hopefully save me about £300.

Well done on the mover saving as that can be a huge cost.Grocery challenge Feb £107/£100-epic fail due to cake and biscuits

Belated Sunday not-really-shuffle.The move is *almost* done, thank goodness. I think I'm going to pay someone else to clean the old house as I frankly really don't want to. The last couple of weeks have been very difficult both with the move and a poorly cat - I am about worn out, and I would rather pay a pro cleaner than give up more of my evenings.Moneywise things are not looking too bad, at least not as bad as I expected, but thank heavens for pet insurance. So glad I kept it, despite grumbling all these years about the monthly cost. I'll straighten things out in YNAB on payday and can move forward from there.Oh, and thank goodness again for the 0% credit card - which has made it possible to use the pet insurance without worrying about when costs will be repaid.RB xxDebt free May 2016... I 100% agree do get the cleaner in, be nice for you to know its done rather than have all the stress of the cleaning to do.
Money well spent on a big clean.

Definitely get a cleaner. Screw doing that after all the moving and pet shenanigans! I have had a poorly bunny and cleaning him up was quite enough thank you. I also have a CC bill of nearly a 1000. He cant be insured.
What is it like in your new home?
Really hope you are snuggled with your cat and toasty warm XXX

Thanks everyone.Poorly cat is no longer with me I'm afraid
. I miss him but he was suffering and very tired by the end so at least he is no longer suffering now. It is a mixed blessing that he only had a few days in the new house so although I wish he had got to enjoy having more space, it does mean there aren't quite as many memories of him in favourite spots.
Very grateful to still have another furry for company - it would have been even more awful to come home to a completely empty house.Payday today so I am going to untangle a few things in YNAB, but it isn't looking too bad so far.RB xxDebt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
