Balancing not just the budget

Went to gym! :rotfl: didn't like class though so will pick others to try.
Am going to try out a budget tool that was recommended on the DFW board. Just gone through all current figures and it looks like a v generous budget (one allowing savings for holidays and other such amazements) would leave me about £200 a month for debt payments. That isn't enough in current situation - and substantive post salary - so would have to be trimmed. BUT if back pay does come through then that will make a big dent in debt, so even if on old salary wouldn't have to trim too much... and if on new one, increase would cover debt payments that would get rid of it in just over a year. Here's hoping...
Have been fairly good re spending - out yesterday but v healthy and passably cheap meal and took own stuff into cinema(cheaper AND nicer - why do they sell such horrible rubbish in cinemas?)

Unfortunately, people are careful what they say. Though you do get the occasional daredevil who is just out with it.

Been spending... but only on Christmas decs and gifts. Annoyed that I wiped out the savings pots but was the right thing at the time when I thought I would be needing every penny in Oct to buy the flat. Will be putting aside again from Jan payday.
Also bought lunch and used petrol but these are excused as social life cost. And bought clothes which are needed as replacement for worn out stuff but could have waited so not quite so excusable.
All receipts added into budget software though and quite excited to be able to clearly see all info together - I haven't had that since M1crosof7 Mon3y died a few years ago. Hoping it will help get things sorted out and really, really hoping back pay does come through as promised - not long now!

Yes you can wait, but you need to get them some time. If the other ones are worn out, then now is that time.RosaBernicia wrote: »All receipts added into budget software though and quite excited to be able to clearly see all info together - I haven't had that since M1crosof7 Mon3y died a few years ago.
You should have said - there's plenty of replacements.RosaBernicia wrote: »Hoping it will help get things sorted out and really, really hoping back pay does come through as promised - not long now!

I always meant to find one and didn't get round to it. I've used my spreadsheet in the meantime, but I'm not clever enough with Excel or finances to really make it as good.Don't be holding your breath now...blue is not a good look.
No, and I should know better than to hope by now... it will be OK either way, anyway.

I am rather partial to the nachos at the odeon with the warm cheese sauce. Tried making my own but not the same. I reserve buying them though except for special films as they are so expensive. Daft thing is, if cinemas didn't charge quite so much, i don't think I'm alone in the fact I'd prob buy snacks there more often.
Shame about the gym class, which one was it?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I read somewhere that cinemas make a lot of their profit on the food, rather than tickets, which is why they make stuff so expensive. Seems bonkers to me as I'd rather pay the going rate for a ticket and have decent food.
The class was a body balance type thing that mixed up t'ai chi, yoga, pilates and all sorts - I don't really understand why as I'm not sure it was better than doing one of the systems where everything is tried and test to work together. Anyway I haven't been backand am thinking what I should really do is just download the Couch to 5K stuff and go and run in the park. I have suddenly got the idea that I would like to be able to run, but am a bit terrified of it as don't really know where/ how to start!
