It's a bit like the parable of the frog and the boiling water. Since it has crept up on you so slowly - you haven't seen it for what it is.

    Windy and rainy.

And I have to go back to work tomorrow.

I hope it has calmed down by then. How's things there?

Also windy and rainy here. And also back to work tomorrow. :( Though only for the day as off in the week to prep for and do test. So only two days at the end which are theoretically in the office and hopefully quiet.

    Don't wanna go

    Me too.

    Or is it "me neither"?

I get your point, either way.

Right, motivation on the test prep somewhat tailed off yesterday and this evening so have to sign off social media and get on with it! I have tomorrow off so that should be time to review practice tests and still get a good night's sleep before Wed lunchtime when the test starts.

Also decided that I really do need to give the running a good shot - it's outdoors, cheap, independent of other people and peak times, completely flexible and would fit with exercising a dog when I get one :) . So decided I should start on the Couch to 5K once the test is over. As the traffic was pants tonight and I couldn't get out of work anyway when I left, I used the time to walk over to Sp0rtsD1rec7 and now have a lightweight jacket and a belt bag (or are they still called bumbags? :rotfl:) with water bottle. That with the gym gear I already sorted should be sufficient to remove all excuses :):rotfl:

    In other :money: related news...
    • Returned garage keys and await return of deposit money, which will apparently be BACS not cash
    • Had sudden brainwave that I can technically clear my remaining high interest CC on payday, even if I then use it and clear it again next month, because paid in full would be interest free! :D And if I get to buy the shoes I have been drooling over and want for both my birthday and the important interview, I won't resent giving up holiday money so much :rotfl:
    • Budget remains on track - will be returning test prep books I haven't used and think it should still be possible to get through to the end of the calendar month, not just payday, which is a small move in the right direction and makes the budgeting simpler.

    No, it's worse than that...

Just as long as you don't start associating your CC with treats.

No news here... except that online prep site turns out to be a bit of a waste of money - not unexpected, it was a bit of a gamble and useful for the basics. But their mock test questions are so badly phrased and so unlike the real thing I've given up and am going back to the library books instead.

Good luck with the running Rosa. I've been twice this week (year?? :rotfl:) and am pleased to be getting back into it after a 3 week break.

Well I didn't make it tonight :o as couldn't find the cable to get stuff onto my phone... but in the process of the cable hunt I found an old MP3 player so have deleted all the music off it and it can now be for running podcasts. It's probably a better idea anyway as it's small enough to tuck in a pocket and the phone can go in the bag. :)

I need to do something as went to find my old jeans, the ones that were falling off me about 6 months ago, thinking they'd be a bit bigger than the current ones... and... I can't zip them :eek: More proper cooking, less treats, more exercise needed!

  • Just did my third run for the Couch to 5K and am ridiculously pleased with myself - that's week 1 of 9 done. It really is pretty much idiotproof and as it's only half an hour and I already had the stuff I went out and ran even in the cold and dark - of course I meant to get up early and run in daylight, but I slept really badly in the week so that didn't happen. The nearby park will be fab for when it is light and I've found a couple of well lit long streets nearby so can do loops there if I do have to go in the evening.

Will be rewarding myself with a pair of cheap running gloves :rotfl:
