It could be condensation which often is the problem with many building if they are not insulated, heated or vented properly. You could try a dehumidifier. If the problem persists with mould if can worse case be bad for your health, I suffered first hand from mould many years ago, in end the building was declared uninhabitable by environmental health. You could maybe ask them to take a look for you and give you some advise

Sorry but your post needs formatting not having a go but I do find it hard to read

Agree with this post. Has any of the council representatives mentioned condensation to you?

Is the mould on the outside walls? The large wet patch..... again, is this on an outside wall? Do the affected walls feel cold?

Only that my friend had the same problem (much lesser degree). Large wet patch in front room. She has started leaving the central heating on low during the day & bingo, the wet patch has disappeared.

What type of heating have you got? Are you in a position to leave it running low during the day? Amongst other tips given here:

  • Generally speaking mould growth is caused by condensation and most of your pictures show classic areas for condensation, in corners and areas that get a lack or airflow / movement.

I think there are two photos of yours that clearly show rising (or penetrating damp), those are the pictures with the clear tide mark on the wall.

You really need to keep pursueing the council / housing association to attend visit and look at the wall with the rising damp. The condensation is likely caused by living conditions (not helped of course by the damp wall!)

In the meantime, i would recommend cleaning the mould growth with fungicidal wash - http://www.wickes.co.uk/fungicidal-wash-4l/invt/600297/ I use this at home to keep my condensation problems under control!

When dealing with councils and EH it is usually best to write a letter. Send two copies from different post offices and then they will definitely have received one of them and you have proof of posting if they say they haven't.
In big organisations they tend to ignore e-mail as it is far too easy to click a message.
