Do not wash it, do not wipe it !
    buy some of this

Spray the mould generously with it twice a day, overlap the area a bit
Do NOT touch it, wipe it, dab or try to remove it, you will spread it.
Do not even go near it until the next spray.
    Just spray and leave alone
    Twice a day, every day
Report back in 3 days .
    Be happy...;)
  • The wardrobe has already got a bit mould growing inside, so when my partner is back I'm going to ask him to move it as he is away for a bit. The council asked me to move it the other day when they come around (they said it will make the damp worse, but it is pulled away from the wall) it is a very big 3 door one so I can't move it by myself let alone being heavily pregnant. There isn't any other place I can put it, unless I want mine and my sons bed by the damp which is worse :(
  • Thanks spacey2012, but I have some spray like this which is just made for mould and damp that I use and it has had no affect on the mould coming back :(

Im not an expert but that is in no way condensation in my opinion (some of the other pictures of indicative of condensation mould patterns but still not conclusive)

Whats on the other side of that wall?

As I say Im not an expert but having seen those photos I do feel for you, can you get a meeting or email your MP a shorter version of your post (ie remove the threatening bits, although I can see what you feel you have to resort to that now) and one or two photos (the ones I highlighted seem to be the worst) ?

Try this exact one, it works, the cheaper versions dont.
But follow those instructions and spray and leave alone.
    Be happy...;)
  • The wall that is soaked is the outside wall, the other side is an outside wall but by my front door that is abit damp and keeps growing mould on. But no way as near as bad as the other side. I am going to try and get a meeting with them, but normally no one emails back. My first emails at the start was very nice ect and as I got more and more annoyed they wasn't as nice, none of them was nasty ect just basically telling them that this is how it is and why it needs to be sorted. The ones you have hilighted are the worse bits of it, I am now going to start taking pictures of the stuff I have to throw out which is at least once a week.
  • Thanks spacey2012, I will try it out

Space is right in that wiping etc just transfers the mould spores, but this would just seem to be masking the problem (even if it was condensation, which the pattern on an exposed wall with nothing against it would suggest otherwise).

In the photo I highlighted, I would expect the worst condensation to be to the left out of the picture where there appears to be a window, I would expect bad mould all around the inner part of the window where the warm humid air inside is hitting the cold window.

As you are pregnant, I would not advise spraying large amounts of anti-mould bleach and being in the room for any length of time, actually I wouldn't recommend that for a non pregnant person anyway.

If you can in effect make one room to test spaceys theory out where you can shut the door and open a window slightly during the time (ie probably 2 days), the window just needs to be open slightly, easier if you have the tilt and turn double glazing as just turn the handle so it opens top inwards.

This will limit your exposure to the bleach fumes whilst seeing if the bleach and ventilation helps.

Just to clarify, you have tried emailing your MP (you mention emailing EH and the council). ?
  • I can't find an email address for the MP, I will try and spray out when I can. Thanks
