At renewal point the price includes an admin fee.
I always cancel.
I always stick with them and submit a "new application" (Much cheaper).
Their smart computers appear to uncancel my old policy and give me the "cheaper deal" as a renewal.
They then charge the admin fee.
Gave up trying to get around it as I suppose I dont need to send all my proof back again etc.
Usually find that staying with same insurer subsequent years never works out well.0 -

And they are recommended by which.[/QUOTE]
They use Budget Insurance0 -

For all, M&S car insurance is a white label of BudgetM&S_Website wrote:We have carefully selected BISL Limited to arrange and administer this quality car insurance using a panel of insurers. Terms and conditions apply.0 -
Swiftcover don't charge an admin fee for any changes made online.0

M+S (really budget) charge £50 admin fee for cancelling as well as the £25 admin fee already mentioned above for making underwriting changes.0 -

Worrying. Yeh Budget charge £30 for amendments, £75 to cancel. M&S is £25 and £50 as stated so there is a difference.
But as mentioned, Which seem to like M&S insurance at least.0 -

Just because they are a white label doesnt mean everything is identical. There may even be Budget staff that are dedicated to the M&S account that do nothing but M&S work. At a prior clients for the largest affinity deal they had they even had a dedicated building that was nothing but sales, service and claims staff that did work on that partner brand, even some other functions had dedicated resources to it.
This is one of the challenges of dealing with affinity setups, you really dont know how far the division is nor how much influence the marketed brand has.
M&S Home is written by Axa and so I have no issues in using them as I trust Axa (as much as you can any insurer) as much as I do M&S. I would be reluctant to go with M&S Car as I wouldnt touch Budget unless absolutely forced to do so.0
