    Borrow one from a friend?
Or even buy one online (from another connection of course), test your connection with it and return under DSRs?

why should the customer? talktalk should post one out to 'test' before sending a tech, my mum for example wouldnt have a clue about getting another adsl modem and setting it up.
  • i have had no end of issues with Talktalk i have gone grey and suffer from talktalk stress when i see a new issue from them, have had horrendous problems, trying to sell me fiber optic which wasn't even class as fiber by ofcom's standards, over billing me for a so called engineer call out at 50 pounds twice, both times having spending hours on the phone trying to sort it out, lag in broadband, hissing on phone line, with open reach said seems like they are capping your broadband, im on a unlimited contract, have had so many issues over the time of this contract, they are such a unless, company who enjoy it seems upsetting, and causing unnecessary stress from usless, call center, many time they have hung up on me during calls and been very unhelpful i am so upset with them they have upset me so much again today for trying to charge me again for an engineer call out which i didnt have back in July:mad:
