I don't care. It irritates me and should therefore stop.

A quote from another thread of yours, brilliant :j

I'd suggest you look up what ":p" signifies.

But I appreciate you taking the time to research my words :)
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
  • Walk into an Argos store or go online and you will see they advertise the Acer Iconia B1-710 at £99.00 but in the description they fail to mention that because this is a Chinese Firmware its bundled with all sorts of junk except the one thing you would expect to find on an Android device:

Google Play is not included in the apps provided because of the fact the Chinese do not allow Google products on their hardware.

When you try to install the Google Play Store manually (for the tech savvy) you find that it won't even work and instead continually crashes to the home screen.

So what exactly is the point in selling a device that does not work in the UK, at least not work for the audience it was built for: The Beginners.

Wrong.. Its not included because they are using the free version of Android and have not paid Google for the full version which includes the play store.

  • I think Argos on the high street are getting stricter about what is returned for a refund, whether broken or unwanted and they are reluctant to take items back . I got a new set of EKS digital bathroom scales and tried them they flashed up 3 different weights for a start, and then the set themselves to KG when the button for stones was the one it started off at and it changed itself, then tapping them to light up they would not come on. Took them back instore with receipt and box the next day ,explained that they were temperamental. The shop assistant stood on them and they worked, she said "nothing wrong with them so can't take them back or refund you" And handed me them back.

I had decribed the fault was intermittent, they come on and vary in reading. I felt stupid of course, and accepted her verdict, tried them today they worked once then failed to come on again at all since. Back to square one.
NB...People online who are here asking advice for "my friend" they really mean "myself"
