ok i found it !!!! buried in a box somewhere lol

i have plugged that into the green outlet and that enables me to plug the red, green and blue pins into it.

that leaves me with white and red and i have plugged them into the correct colours on my tv. i can hear the music from the wii but no picture

trouble is once ive plugged that extension thing in i now have 6 outlets and only 5 pins from the wii.

im assuming thats the trouble im having connecting.

i now have red, green and blue holes from the extension that came with the tv

and red, white and yellow on the tv itself

According to the manual there should be a side audio cable as well, which the red and white cables attach to. The side audio adapter plugs into the black hole, beneath the green one.

    Hope this makes sense?

My first thought as well: if the information in the manual is correct there should be a button on your remote with the word 'SOURCE' on it.

yep the source button on the control refers to the output mode, so i select side av although have tried many ! im assuming its due to the fact im missing the connection the person above mentioned

You've got a component (YPbPr) cable plugged into a component adapter. Have you tried swapping the two red cables around?
