Money taken out of bank, not received, can your bank get you it back?

The correct sort code etc had been entered, was checked before/& after multiple times.

I rang the company (multiple times) after them not replying to emails/tweets/phone calls and someone answered, i explained the problem and he told me there was no moneys in from my friend and he'd checked multiple times ALL dates from the 20th Dec.

He then said he'd get the 'tech team' to have another check today.

Low and behold, after ringing back the payment had 'slipped through' as it was done via bank transfer and the item is said to be on it's way.

Not sure how it could have slipped through if they'd checked all moneys being paid to them from the 20th December onwards, but atleast they've dispatched it now..

Sounds like their accounts department is a shambles.

Thanks for updating us, but remember for the future, you have much more security by not paying for goods by bank transfer. It's like sending cash in an envelope.

In particular this co doesn't give a street address and only a premium rate phone number, both of which should be taken as warning signs.
