I can't add any more advice. I'm horrified at what some employers think they can get away with. Just hang on in there. There are lots of people rooting for you. Take care and get the painting done while you can.:hello:0

Thanks again the all you support poe.tuesday, CFC, sazzacat and Elsiesgirl.
Still not heard a sausage. No phone call. No letter so I guess this is going to run into next week. Finished painting the front of the house - will start the rear tomorrow.I say that in a kind of smug way because obviously the uncertainty is unsettling. You get to the stage were you can't even look at holiday brochures - in case something happens and I lose the job. Like I said though I'm innocent and that is all I can hold onto at the moment.
Will keep in touch. Thanks again.

I'd hope that "no news is good news" is the thought for the day.
Perhaps they can't put their case together and will say they've investigated, that is was a mistake, apologise and call you back to start work again.
Any way, good luck and enjoy the nice weather.0 -
Good luck with it all.Nice to save.0

Just an update. Received a letter this morning asking me to go in for an investigation meeting on Wednesday - so I guess I have another few days off. Pity it will be raining on Sunday and Monday. Still not really sure what to expect. I will of course let you all know what the outcome is. Thanks again for all the best wishes.0

good - at least things are moving. make sure you have someone with you - preferably a union rep.
prepare any possible questions you might have (difficult as you don't know the content) and take a large notebook and pen.
ensure that you ask for and are given a copy of the company disciplinary policy/procedure (if you ask and don't get, they are in the wrong) - it will be interesting to see what it says. for example, in one of the cases i helped out with, part of the company disp. procedure was for the comp. to give the investigated person a copy of disp. procedure. they did not and this formed part of the later successful unfair dismissal case.
ask for copies of all their investigation paperwork/evidence - they have to give it to you. plus they will need to get you to countersign a copy of all minutes of all meetings as 'a true and accurate record'. don't remind them, again if they fail to do so this may be used later if necessary.
none of this may be necessary, but having 'been ther, done that' twice, i would just like to offer the benefit of hindsight!
also, all meetings can be re-arranged to suit you if necessary within a reasonable amount of time - just in case rep can't attend on weds.
good luck again, sazzacat0 -
You've got plenty of time between now and Wed to gather your thoughts now you know there will be a hearing.
Write down everything you remember (eg pc issues, who you told, whether/how you logged it) and think of ANYTHING that you can remember about that day.
Write down the questions that YOU want to ask, cos they'll be asking you some questions.
Eg - they present evidence, it's all stat based, suggestive of hanging up on people.
Possible Questions:
Does the same pattern present itself on any other day? If I'd been hanging up on customers, and I've worked here for X years, don't you think that I would have done it on other days too?
Do you have any recordings or any monitoring that suggests I have been hanging up on customers?
(if no recordings at all are available)
Would you call some of those customers (if calls are logged on screen) and ask them if they remember calling and whether they I hung up on them, because I deny all allegations of this?
Could you explain to me exactly why and how the stat system is foolproof, because I deny the allegations, and therefore I believe that the stats may either be wrong or interpreted incorrectly? (This one is very important if there have been ANY system or phone changes recently. You must also find out if there have been any system changes recently perhaps while you were absent that you have missed training for, and if so you must say)
Did your investigation include other members of the team, because I believe that these stats may not be correct, so I would like to know if other team members also had strange stats too? (If they say they have, ask them their findings and what is happening to anyone else with strange stats - if they say they have not, then ask them to do so before their outcome is given and to supply you with this information, because you believe that there is a problem with the reporting system which a wider investigation may uncover)
Make sure that the notes really are a true record of what was said in the meeting, including everything you said. Do not sign them until you are happy that they genuinely reflect the meeting and the tone of the meeting.
NOBODY wants to penalise someone who they genuinely think is innocent, so stay in control and keep calm. Remember that if you start to get too nervous or upset that you can ask for an adjournment for a short while at any point in the meeting.
Good luck.0
