    Thanks all I will try the backup and checking cables on the back. Other than that I'll have to get someone to come out I think - I can't get up a ladder and have no idea what LMB Alignment is lol!! Thank you all again

    If it's printed "Thomson DSIxxxx" on the label underneath then the problem will be the usual failing capacitors. Easy to fix but DO NOT ATTEMPT A FIRMWARE UPDATE! This can occasionally corrupt the firmware and render the receiver useless.

    It will be if the clamp or bracket has broken and the dish is pointing straight down...

    LNB is the little box in front of the dish where the signal is focused, it should be quite obvious if anything is seriously awry. You don't need a ladder, just inspect it from ground level. Compare to a neighbour's install.
