Hi I am booked on jet 2 flight soon. I have 22kg allowance for hold. Can I also take small case to put in overhead locker with my valuables in etc??? Thanks in advance.

Yes, within their cabin baggage allowance.

Usual limitations regarding, liquids, sharp objects, nuclear weapons apply.

    From their web-site
You are allowed one small piece of hand baggage weighing no more than 10kg and dimensions not in excess of 56x45x25cm, including wheels and handles. Any piece of baggage that does not meet these requirements will need to be checked in as hold baggage and the relevant fee will be charged. It is not possible to use your hand baggage allowance against your checked baggage allowance or vice versa. On occasion it may be necessary to impose a limit on cabin baggage, for operational reasons. In this instance your cabin baggage will be placed in the aircraft hold at no additional charge provided you have complied with all applicable baggage requirements and limitations contained in our Terms and Conditions.

    To Sum up,

You get your cabin bag (as above) included in your ticket price, it goes in the cabin. (Normally - see above) Many things are not allowed in cabin baggage in case you are a nasty person or they might endanger the plane by accident.

It is totally separate from any cabin trunks, suitcases, wardrobes or other large objects you might pay them to put in the plane's 'boot'.
Some things are not allowed in this baggage either, from strong magnets, mercury to man-servants. Consult the airline's web-site for full details.

Ryanair's cabin bag allowance is only a little bigger than an attache case, - and they WILL make you fit it into their cardboard 'sizer' at the gate, and if it doesn't freely fit (no squashing allowed) then it has to go in the hold for a charge of about £50.

Ryanair's cabin allowance is in fact 55cm x 40cm x 20cm with a weight of 10kg. They do not always make you fit baggage into their sizer, and I've seen many people squash their bags in to pass the test.
