Woke up fairly early today but laid in bed and nodded off again! Missed swimming this morning as if I don't get there for 9 it gets too busy for me. Managed to get there yesterday which was good as it gave me a bit of energy for the day. Stocked up on food yesterday - first big shop since before christmas. Went to L!dl first, their prices are fairly creeping up, I think I will have to start going back to @sda for some things as I went there too for things I couldn't get. Will try @ldi next week to see if they are keeping their prices down.

Bought a freesat box yesterday (will only be on bread and water for a month now) as I am fed up of not being able to record anything and although I like the i-player I find I can't concentrate on the laptop as well as the TV. Will have to get to grips with the control now!

Not much planned for today, it has been snowing a little but not too much yet.

Have a good Sunday, take care. XX

    Morning all,

Beautiful bright day here, we had a few flakes of snow last night but nothing much, supposed to be getting some tonight / tomorrow, I would like just a bit please, we rarely get any this far south, so a bit would be nice :D

Got our bedding in the wm, will hang that on the line, need to fold the washing thats dry on the airer and put that away. DD is off out with her boyf for the day, so OH and I will wrap up warm and go walking, will take a flask with us.

Dinner tonight is chicken legs, will do a jacket spud with them and some salad bits.

Might get round to listing a few bits on ebay tonight, will see how the time goes.

Molly, I dont believe you have had a Kitchenaid for 2 years and not used it , I would have bought it from you :D they are so easy to use I promise, just put your stuff in and turn on, let me know if you need help xx

    Have good days all xx

DD is on her way back to uni in Liverpool so house is very quiet.

DH and other dd are taking turns doing the driving and should be home late afternoon. They will probably have lunch out so will make a pot of soup for tonight and maybe bake a loaf.

Having a cuppa and a browse before popping down to shop and getting some extra bread, milk, eggs and veg in case the forecasters are right about lots of snow.

Still have chicken pancakes from last night so me and dd will have them for lunch.

    Molly

My side of the bedroom sounds much like yours :o so will make an effort to tidy tomorrow when it is quieter and I can concentrate on what I am doing.

    Hugs to all

Glad you had a good holiday Essex Girl, although I reckon the current weather at home must be a shock to the system!

I'm staying indoors today. I was thinking of a morning walk, but it's far too cold for comfort out there.

We've had a couple of brief snow flurries. If you believe the weather forecasts, we could have some snow tomorrow. According to the weather map, where I live is just where the snow changes to rain. We are on fairly high ground here, so I wouldn't be suprised if it's snow.

We've got pork chop and veg for lunch today. Don't often have pork, but was in the mood for it, so it'll make a change.

Big TV night for me - there's a documentary on one of the satellite channels about the cruise ship that sunk this time last year( I love anything about cruise ships!), then there's Ripper Street and Mr Selfridge. The last two are on at the same time, so Sky+ will be deployed!

    Have a good day everyone

Beautiful day here, sunny and very very frosty. My plans for today are to declutter but above all CLEAN the utility room - it is embarassingly filthy.
Got the fridge and freezers done yesterday but in the process managed to smash a bottle of Cava all over the kitchen floor, units, dining table etc. I didn't know whether to cry at the mess or get down on my knees and lick it up!
On the bright side, the bluebells are pushing through in the garden, and I've a vase of daffodils, hyacinths in full bloom and a number of Amaryllis (Amarilli??) in various stages of bud all on the kitchen windowsill.
No more procrastinating - onwards and upwards.
    Happy Sunday all

really pleased as ive put my food shop off for two days so i will go monday and not saturday. hopefully this will help with money.

    Afternoon all.

Butterfly Brain I loved those doggie videos you posted links to yesterday; thanks for that!

I've done Jessie's postcard home already - she's being picked up at 09:30 tomorrow, which is way too early in the day for me to think of something witty and apposite for her postcard!:D

I thought my handbag had gone missing - but it turned up under the pile of ironing Mr LW has dumped on the chair in the lounge, ready to iron this afternoon. I can't really complain, he does all the ironing!:A

Not a lot else going on in the Wolf's Lair - we'll need to take Jessie for walkies again shortly, after which I'll get Mr LW to bring the mobility buggy battery indoors to charge; other than that, we'll be having toad-in-the-hole, with veggie sausages, for dins tonight, with Marmite gravy.

I still have my cold, and am coughing and spluttering, but then, I think half the population have colds, so it's not really news.:D

    Afternoon all

bahh i feel rubbish. Thats it really.:D

Hope you all feel better than me today. I get roughly one cold a year and this years cold is a bit of a stinker!

I was full of good intentions for today but instead i am going to shut myself away and stew in my own misery.:D I ought to go back to bed really but i really do have things to do.... just not yet:o.

Listed a few bits on Ebay yesterday and have bids totaling £52 already. Ive got more to list but cant see me feeling up to it today so they will have to wait.

Bright and sunny here but very cold. Wrap up warmly everyone!

    Have a good day all.

    Afternoon all!
House is empty, and blissfully silent for now, DS at friends and DD at BFs. Bought a cheap steamer in a*da today, so the veg drawer will be piled into it later, and theres a chicken roasting in the oven, no doubt the little dears will stay out for dinner but the chicken will do for tomorrow and for DDs lunch for work with salad or something.
Went to visit ICU this morning with a card and gift for the staff, had a bit of a sniffle there looking at the empty bed OH was in, the unit only had 2 poor souls there today.
This afternoon will be spent sorting more paperwork ready for my solicitors appointment, the shredder will be red hot later I fear!
Hugs all round, and stay warm!
