With the Coalition we should be saying that we have the best of two worlds, on paper we have George Osborne The Chancellor being outstripped in experience by Vince Cable, who studied economics and then was Chief Economist for Shell plus Treasury Spokesman, between them a force to be reckoned with you would have thought, with that experience between them we should be at least making some kind of progress and we are not. I wonder why this could be.
Maybe his switching parties in his career made his voice less to be reckoned with and his advice is being ignored as a result.0 -

Yes but they were both failures in opposition - failing to attract new voters ,look the part etc,as was IDS - what does anyone think of John Redwood? Poles apart tho, obvs. Any chancellor would seem to look more competent than this one.0 -
