By the way Cable is as responsible as Osborne for economic growth, and he can't crack it either.
With the Coalition we should be saying that we have the best of two worlds, on paper we have George Osborne The Chancellor being outstripped in experience by Vince Cable, who studied economics and then was Chief Economist for Shell plus Treasury Spokesman, between them a force to be reckoned with you would have thought, with that experience between them we should be at least making some kind of progress and we are not. I wonder why this could be.
Maybe his switching parties in his career made his voice less to be reckoned with and his advice is being ignored as a result.0 -

How much did Gordon Brown lose selling our gold?
if you had such insight into the future price of gold why didnt you buy what gordon was selling?
as for a replacement chancellor the only senior tory left with a semblance of authority is william hague, then make osborne foreign sec and pack him off to the cayman isles to be reunited with his own money0 -

Yes but they were both failures in opposition - failing to attract new voters ,look the part etc,as was IDS - what does anyone think of John Redwood? Poles apart tho, obvs. Any chancellor would seem to look more competent than this one.0 -

Even in a room full of politicians the 'silly drivel' you speak of would make a break from the sometimes monotonous chatter of a boardroom.
Even David Camerons jokes we could call 'silly drivel' as well but he and his party think that they are humourous at times.0 -

Whatever the government, and whosoever the chancellor is will make no difference to this Groundhog Day Recession.
A vote for Ranters, Muggletonians or The Levellers would be just as pointless.
