I read the following in the New Statesman recently mentioning the new book 'Bright Blue'...
Historically, Conservatism has been at its best when it is open-minded and big-hearted, providing ladders of opportunity for people from modest backgrounds. So the focus now needs to be on helping these families with the cost of living and accessing high-quality public services.

the point is osbourne and cameron are two wet morons who wish they had an ounce of Thatcher's leadership qualities. they have tinkered and achieved nothing. they are too scared to do what actually needs to be done. that is because they care about popularity and being re-elected and Thatcher cared about doing what was right for the South East.
