What silly things irate you about your OH/ partner

This is just light-hearted, not the deal breakers , relationship meltdown/ divorce courts type irritants about your OH so I will start....
OH if he drinks a cup of tea or has a plate of food when he has finished he will just sit with them holding it until he gets up, never puts them on the coffee table.
If he has a packet of crisps or chocolate bar he will neatly fold the wrapper and put it down the side of the armchair.
In the spirit of fairness I irate him by having so many scatter cushions, he sits down and promptly throws them on the floor or settee and I have too many ' display items only' he says, like candles that are too beautiful to be actually lit:rotfl:or my new pure white blanket that is on the end of the bed but no one is allowed to touch or use, we'll it is white:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
OH always comes in from the hall way to the living room says hello then goes all the way back out again to finally takes his shoes off:rotfl::rotfl:
What are your silly annoying irritating ones?
Ex used to do that with crisp packets! He'd fold them into little neatly packaged triangles and shove them down the side of the sofa or,occasionally chuck them in the general direction of the bin!
He can be a really noisey and slow eater at times too.
Thinking the freshly washed duvet was perfect to *coughs* clean himself with was annoying:o I believe most men are guilty of that though:rotfl:
Picking ears/nose/spots and then ' rolling and flicking'
Many years ago,one that really got me amused and annoyed (because it took forever and he's already a slow eater) was the way he had some ' sandwiches'.He didn't really make the sandwiches but buttered the bread, cut cheese and tomatoes and got some ham and would take a bite of each seperately one after the other:rotfl:
The numbers and tobogan talk and movement in his sleep was a weird one too!
The way he used to lift the bread on the bacon sarnie I made (and delivered to him in bed every Sunday morning for God knows how many years- more fool me lol) to inspect the contents was another. It's only bacon, bread, butter and occasionally fried egg,why the inspection?:rotfl:
he also use to jerk occasionally in his sleep, didn't do it so much over the last 1-2 years but it use to wake an panic me!There are many times I thought he was having a fitIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Holey socks and boxers (although,he's only been wearing boxers about 3-4 years now, before that is was awful mummy bought pants which is a seperate thing:rotfl:),especially on week days with the excuse that when he welds he sometimes gets hit by sparks that make the holes so he may as well wear the holey ones anyway:eek: :T Never had an excuse for the occasional weekend holey boxers and socks though! If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0

I have actually just sat here and laughed to myself for 5minutes reading this thread!!
Things my OH does that irritate me:
-You know when he's home before me, EVERY light in the flat is on!
-Winds the dog up and then gets annoyed when she doesn't calm down in 2seconds.
-Whatever he's doing I can guarantee within 10 minutes, he will be yelling and swearing at it!
-Never ever actually puts the bins or recycling bags out for them to get collected (even when asked!!)
-Manages to ignore 10billion alarms and then wakes up for work late swearing and running around the flat yet still finds time for a fag!
- Wakes me up if I fall asleep before him at night or in the mornings when it's my day off.
- I have to hear the ins and outs of his colleagues and boss's private lives, yet get told "I don't understand why you stress about it!?" when i let off steam about m work to him.
-Talks in depth about motorbikes knowing fully well I haven't a clue what he's on about!
Edited:
-Asks me where things are despite the fact I haven't touched them.
-Puts things away and "tidies up" aka dumps things in the cupboard and we find them 6 months later.
Bless him hahahaha.0 -
Rooms where there are more than one switch, like the stairs. You can turn the light on and off either upstairs or downstairs.
I have two switches in the bedroom, one by the door and one by the bed.
Trying to make sure they are all the same way is very OCD though.
We have 2 sets in the living room one with 3 switches one with 2, at opposite ends of the room..its like he turns 1 on and then goes to the other set and turns 1 on there too! Yes it is a bit OCD, but its something silly that he does and it does annoy me!!hMember for a long time only recent poster
***THANK YOU***
To all those who post comps, no wins yet though!0 -
Thankfully me and OH have the same OCD tendencies when it comes to light switches!! :rotfl:Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0

My other half walks past the dishwasher to leave plates cups etc on the side beside the sink. That's annoying. Or he is first up in the morning and doesn't flush the toilet in case he wakes anyone else up.
But would rather hear the toilet being flushed than have to go behind him later on and flush it. Its disgusting.0 -

he never bloody cuts them (finger or toe) so his socks have enormous holes in them
procastinates (drives me bloody potty)
Be thankful he doesn't bite them like mine so i end finding them all over the house :rotfl:
Edit - He doesn't bite his toenails :rotfl:0 -
I've never understood the phone checking thing. On Saturday I was doing the shopping and the girl in front of me had her phone in one hand and the trolley in the other.
Every 20 seconds, I counted, she'd check her phone.
Then when she wanted something off the shelf and it was too big for one hand she stood there dithering and you could tell she really didn't want to put the phone down. She tried all sorts but in the end she had to admit defeat and put the phone in her pocket and put the item in her trolley. She than got her phone out and checked it as if her life depended on it!
I feel like telling these people that it goes beep if something turns up, you don't have to check it constantly.
:rotfl:I do this sometimes - it's because I haven't learned how to lock my phone, so have to wait for it to lock by itself - but if you check it too soon by pressing the button, you have to wait even longer for it to lock, can't put it in my pocket incase I accidentally phone someone. I really should learn how to lock itFinal cigarette smoked 02/01/18

My DH does the soaking of pots, pans etc but then never washes them up. Never wipes down the kitchen worktops or cooker. Suffers with serious "Man Vision" can never see for looking and whatever he is looking for will be right in front of him! Tidies up by chucking stuff in a cupboard, this mostly drives the kids mad.
Sits of an evening with his headphones on so it's pointless trying to make conversation. When he isn't plugged into headphones he actually talks to the dog and cats more than me or the kids.
Everything has to have a case or cover, he hoards stuff, books in particular.
I could go on!0
