What silly things irate you about your OH/ partner

Comes in from work and dumps his bag anywhere and leaves his lunchbox and flask in it even if he's going to be off for two weeks!
As well as the bag dumping I mentioned before my OH leaves his lunchbox in his bag too! I fish it out a few days later to find something half eaten left in it. They have 2 bins in his bay at work, why he can't throw the left overs away I'll never know!0 -
Oh, my DH does many of the above annoying things.
I have thought of one which hasn't been mentioned though.
When we go shopping, he will put the full shopping bags on the worktop instead of the floor. This has resulted in many a smashed jar. Coffee is so expensive, it drives me demented. I keep saying, do it from the floor, it hasn't got far to fall then. But he won't listen.
I have many habits which annoy him too.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Spending 15-20 mins in the toilet each time he goes, and he especially likes to go just before we're about to go anywhere (especially when we're running late) so that I'm stood by the door for up to 15 minutes! I don't know what he does in there, I don't want to know, but 15 minutes?!0

I'll join in this one - good thread!
Blowing his nose everytime he goes to the toilet - and its always loudly!
Never doing dishes until he needs them again - leaving them in the sink with water - so when i go to do them i have to put my hand in the mucky water (although he is coming round on this one!)
leaving stuff he brings in from the car after work or at the weekend just sitting on the floor in the living room with the excuse that he is busy - but then they just sit there for weeks!
He always says he is ready to go when we are leaving the house - and just before we go decides he has to go to the toilet, make a cup of coffee to go, get his coat or whatever - generally takes us another 5 minutes to leave
And the playstation obsession - although i am to blame - I bought it for him!
Has 2 alarm clocks - one is irritating enough!
Now jsut to even it up - Things I do that irritate him:
Don't close taps properly - they don't drip just aren't closed properly
Leave lights on
Leave doors open
Leave the toothpaste or fairy liquid open
I'm sure he could list a lot more
He is also the best husband I could ask for and treats me so well, he would do anything to make me happy (except the dishes lol!)!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Far too many to mention, but an abridged list would be:
- Snores so loudly, I have to wear earplugs at night. When the snoring penetrates through the earplugs, it's always me that goes and sleeps on the sofa
- Slaps his chops while eating
- Always leaves dirty plates/cups on the worktop rather than putting them in the dishwasher
- Leaves things that will mark the worktop (brand new oak worktop that is my pride and joy!)
- Whinges about ironing his shirts - even though I do all his washing
- Expects me to know exactly where he's left his Sat Nav/Keys/phone/etc
- While I'm trying to watch TV, he'll put Iplayer on his Ipad (I can't stand the sound of two things playing at once)
- Leaves his shoes in the hallway for me to trip over
- Rubs my belly in bed, even though I hate it!
- Falls asleep in front of the TV, then I have to nag him to get up and go to bed
- Expects the cat to do as it's told, but his son from a previous marriage gets to behave badly! I keep explaining that the cat doesnt have the capacity to understand instructions!

some familiar ones on the lists!
* leaves everything at his @rse and never puts anything away.
* has to turn the big light on in any room he's in, even if it's the middle of the day and not dark
* washes the dishes and leaves the sink all manky with crumbs/soapy water/etc.
* never switches anything off at the plug despite my constant asking/reminding...and now is in a huff with the electric company for putting the direct debit up.
* makes up stories about the cat...apparently our cat is a ninja spy who has wild adventures while we're out at work.
Of course I'm perfect and don't annoy him at all hahacarpe diem

Ok deep breath here goes
1) He is a massive grump in the morning, when he is on earlies admittedly up at 4.30 I don't dare speak to him, if I have to remind him about something (getting pram out of car etc) I have to wait until he is just about to go out the bedroom door otherwise the huffing and puffing is unbearable.
2) When the loo roll has gone he doesn't put the new roll on the holder he balances it on top, it must take more effort balancing it than it does to just change it.
3) Being asked where are my.......... without him even looking, as if I am an oracle of lost items.
4) When tidying he feels having a clear floor is all that is required and just creates piles of 'stuff' that I then have to tidy away.
5) When washing up he never does the glasses first meaning he washes them in greasy water and they are never clean.
6) When washing up he never wipes the sink down or clear the plughole.
7) His ability to completely ignore the children when they are trying to get his attention.
8) His insistence on wearing tracky bottoms out of the house I hate them!
9) Leaving his socks and pants on the floor IN FRONT OF THE WASH BASKET!!!!
10) His idea of making the bed being just throwing the duvet over not smoothing it or sorting the pillows.
11) His ability to instantly fall asleep the minute the light goes off, then snoring so loud he keeps me awake for hours, and then moaning that i woke him with my tossing and turning.
12) Taking miles more milk than he needs for brews at work and then just throwing it away!
13) His 'projects' he starts things then gets fed up half way through, for example the rusting BMX he bought for a fiver that he was going to 'do up' which then just sat in the garden getting more rusty.
14) His refusal to recycle properly even though the recycling bins in the kitchen are right next to each other.
15) His moaning about the bin being too full when he is emptying it, just empty it when it looks full then instead of cramming stuff in til i tell you to empty it!
16) Only emptying the bin when asked see above!
Oh I could go on and on and on and on...........
Mind you we have been together for 18 yrs and are very happy!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
After reading my list you will see why he is now an ex but here goes
Never shut a door, I even had the milkman shouting up to see if everything was ok at 6am once because the door was wide open and he'd gone to work
Never turned taps off
Was always leaving the freezer partly open
Kocked things over in the fridge and just left them (almost a whole pint of milk once)
Always left plates dishes etc on the wall unit. If I took the kids away for 5 days I would come back to 5 breakfast bowls, 5 lots of takeaway remains and assorted biscuit/chocolate wrappers.
Always crashed about in the kitchen if he was first up but God help us if any of us woke him up!
Every time adverts came on he would flick round the channels and get watching something else so we never saw a full programme
We always had to watch what he wanted on tv, the very rare time he let me watch something he would huff, puff, sigh and walk up and down in front of the tv moaning he was bored.
As soon as he walked in he put the tv on even if we would only be in for 10 minutes. If I was home and it was off he always said "whats wrong with the telly?"
Always had the heating on, if he left it on at night I would wait till he was asleep and turn it off.
Never helped with the kids even when I was getting 2 hours sleep a night but expected me to stay up till he was ready for bed.
If I heard him brush his teeth I knew he would be pawing at me all night till I gave in.
When he had a cold he would sit there blowing his nose and leaving his tissues in a pile on the wall unit with all his plates and cups.
Expected his meals the second he walked in even though he didn't have a regular finishing time. I just had to wait for him to ring then drop everything to cook for him whilst trying to get 4 kids ready for bed.
Wet towels were always left on my side of the bed not his.
I'm sure there is much more but I think that will do for now.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
