    Hey guys

Was due to fly LAS-LGW last friday on VS044. Was delayed 24 hours due to a technical problem and arrived back on the sunday as opposed to the saturday morning.

Anything I should be aware of with Virgin? What are they like to get compo out of?

    Many Thanks

  • Hi All, not been on for a long time as not had anything to update but finally got some good news this week. VS074 7th June 2013, Orlando to Manchester, 25 hour delay, Pilot Sickness, I claimed through EUClaims as I didn't have the time or confidence to go for it myself, and Virgin had turned me down in writing 3 times. They have paid out to euclaims, and I got the money in my account. There were 4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids) and of course there was the fee to be deducted but was still worth it. Just thought this might be useful if anyone else is still thinking about it. Thanks.
  • Can anyone advise please .
We booked a connecting flight through Expedia from Dublin -london(aer lingus ) London -Las Vegas (Virgin)
Coming home (5th oct ) our flight was delayed so when we landed in Gatwick (due at 9.35 arrive at 9.50) we had arrived too late for our connection to Dublin .Virgin told us to go to the desk for tickets for a later flight (no more information ) we found out the next flight was at 2.35 pm that afternoon .This meant we were delayed by 4.5 hours .As it turned out the flight didn't take off until 3.40 so we were delayed even longer .Virgin have replied To my compensation email saying I was delayed by 13 mins so not entitled to compensation .Surely because they delayed us it was down to them we missed our connection and they are liable to pay out on compensation ? Would really appreciate advise as I've never claimed before .Thanks in advance

This is a perfect example of not leaving enough time between connecting flights. Virgin got you to London that's where their responsibility finishes. Sorry no claim.
  • This wasn't my choosing this was the package given .Surely the fact the delay was down to Virgin we could claim against them ?
  • Our flight going left about an hour to connect also so both flights were tight

Virgin delay was 13 mins you need to be delayed more than 3 hours. Virgin are not responsible for your missed flight in London.
