I fond this:

but on a quick look couldn't see the bit you refer to. Have you got a link please?
Hi David, it was not originally quoted by me.
It was LBD in thread 2734

Thanks Barbara, bit too quick with my question!0 -
I have this afternoon written to the European Commission to enquire about both the provenance and the status of this odd document. I will let you know what they say ...
This is the sort of rot (with my emphasis) that presumably the EU/EC will eventually bow to:
http://www.eraa.org/publications/industry-news/1067-revision-to-regulation-2612004-on-air-passenger-rights-discussed
"A long list of stakeholders was also identified as valid supporters to the aviation industry to convey the key messages and redress some of the main concerns of the proposal. All Associations agreed that the effects of the new text on air passenger rights may have dire and unintended consequences also affecting other industry sectors (tourism, travel agents, regional airports) and ultimately threatening the economy of the regions, jobs, flight safety and passengers' mobility and choice."
Yeah right! Or they could just get their planes to run less than 3 hours late, perhaps?0 -
Monarch flight ZB595 Faro to Manchester 16th September 2012 Monarch airlines refused to accept our claim when our flight was delayed by over 3 hours. Their excuse was the aircraft was struck by a ground handling vehicle which caused damage rendering the aircraft unserviceable, so as the delay was caused by an extraordinary circumstance that could not have reasonably been prevented by Monarch Airlines. I'll give them one thing it only took 1 month to kick our claim into touch.

Hi,
I was on a Monarch flight back in June (MON5028 13/06), due to leave at 10am, but didn't go till 14:01 (we had it on the airport flight tracker email setup)! I have signed up to Flightstats.co.uk to check the arrival time and every other flight to our destination appears on there but our doesn't. I have double checked the date, the route, everything I can think of, but that Monarch flight just isn't there.
So, two things, first off, where is it? Is there anything I might have not done on the website?
Second, on the Monarch form I have to complete, there's a box for actual arrival time. I don't know that to the exact minute, but can show it left late. Can I add the delay amount to the scheduled arrival time? If not, how do I find a time out?
Thanks!0 -
Manchester to Zakynthos - sorry, meant to add that!0
